With billions in investment on the horizon, our province has its eye on the economic potential for data centres. Spruce Grove: From Grande Prairie to Medicine Hat, Alberta’s innovation community keeps showing up—especially when we build with purpose and partners.That’s exactly what happened last Friday afternoon in the City of Spruce Grove. We were proud to host Technology Alberta’s #FriendlyFriday with The City of Spruce Grove and Edmonton Global, a full room of regional champions and a powerhouse panel of innovators—focused on simplifying the path for entrepreneurs through automation, innovation, and connection. It was practical, inspiring, and full of momentum. Spruce Grove’s 11.8% population growth rate and community momentum prove: If you build it, they will come. ⚾ (Fun fact: The city’s new baseball park opens in June—built with support from Myshak and local tech company Genics.) 👥 Over 100 attendees joined us, including tech entrepreneurs, five post-secondaries (NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology), University of Alberta, Concordia University, MacEwan University, Athabasca University via City Council!), Alberta Innovates, and community leaders—including Mayor Jeff Acker.
