Great news for our growing community! Yesterday, the Government of Alberta announced funding for two new high schools in Beaumont, marking a major step forward for our students. “This announcement is an important milestone that brings much-needed high school space closer to reality,” said Mayor Bill Daneluik. “On behalf of Council and the community, we are incredibly grateful to the Government of Alberta for this commitment that will have a lasting impact on the education of students in Beaumont.” Also, thank you Minister of Education Honourable Demetrios Nicolaides, PhD, ECA, Minister of Infrastructure Hon. The updated Land Use Bylaw improves safety, accessibility, and street design in new neighbourhoods: 🏡 Balancing growth – limiting dwelling units to two, not four. 🚗 Reducing congestion– increased parking requirements for new residential areas. 🔄 Better street flow – adjustments to create longer, uninterrupted curbs where possible.
