[🌟Project milestone] Completion of the Light Public Housing in Yuen Long marks a landmark initiative for Hong Kong! 🏢 Excited to share that the Light Public Housing (#LPH) project on Yau Pok Road in #YuenLong officially welcomed its residents on March 28, 2025. This landmark initiative is crucial in addressing Hong Kong's housing needs, featuring 2,100 LPH units at Site 1, completed in just over a year from the start of construction. Egis and Inhabit serve as a one-stop shop for this transformative project. Egis provides comprehensive #environment consulting services, while our buildings team from Inhabit and Egis delivers combined expertise in #sustainability design and #buildingservices. This includes evaluating tender proposals and reviewing contractor submissions on behalf of the Project Management Consultant (#PMC), as well as serving as the Independent Environmental Checker specifically for Site 1. Our implementation of Modular Integrated Construction (#MiC) technology has streamlined construction processes and enhanced overall efficiency. The LPH initiative encompasses additional sites throughout Hong Kong, including Site 2 in #TuenMun with around 1,900 units, Site 3 in #NgauTauKok with approximately 2,290 units, and Site 4 in #KaiTak, which will provide about 10,700 units. The total construction floor area for the entire project is approximately 530,000 square meters. Charting new horizons in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) of China! 🏙️🌟 Egis Group CEO Laurent Germain's visit to the #GreaterBayArea (GBA) on March 25 marked a significant step in our business in China. The visit included meetings with key clients and government stakeholders while exploring exciting projects, joined by a team of our visionary leaders: · Mathieu Croll, Asia CEO at Egis · Dr James, Jian Xiong, Managing Director of Hong Kong and Macau at Egis · Doris Chen, China Managing Principal at 10 Design, the Architecture Line at Egis · Barry Shapiro, Managing Principal of Asia at 10 Design · Hugh Brennand, Asia Managing Director of Inhabit, the Buildings Line at Egis · Edouard Ducamp, Regional Director, China WW+P Architects 📌 The site visits commenced at Shenzhen #Qianhai Huafa Snow World, one of the largest indoor ski slopes globally. Accompanied by our client Hu Qi, Deputy General Manager of Design Management from #Huafa Group—a long-standing partner of 10 Design—the team continued to the #PrinceBay Residence, an upscale residential project developed by China Merchant Group. 📌 The team also visited several notable Inhabit projects, including #K11 ECOAST, #CTF Financial Tower, and #UNIWAY, each representing collaborations with world-class architects. 📌 Additionally, the new 10 Design office in the impressive #Hongyi Plaza hosted the Egis executive team for its inaugural visit. 📌 Our meeting with the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone Administration, led by Deputy Director Mr. Xie Huihui, was particularly encouraging. It reinforced our commitment to the ambitious development of the Qianhai zone and aligned with the authority's vision for the next decade. We anticipate further developments for Egis in China and the Greater Bay Area!

🎊 Exciting Week in Hong Kong with Laurent Germain, CEO of Egis Group! 🎊 We warmly welcomed Laurent Germain, CEO of Egis Group, to our Asia headquarters in Hong Kong from March 22-27. He was joined by Mathieu Croll, Asia CEO, and Dr James, Jian Xiong, Managing Director of Hong Kong and Macau, for discussions on driving strategic initiatives for sustainable development in the region. 📌 External Meetings Laurent met with Hon. Mable Chan, JP, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, and executives from Transport and Logistics Bureau (#TLB) to review progress and client feedback on the ongoing Smart and Green Mass Transit System (#SGMTS) in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen, and the Hong Kong International Airport Three Runway System (#3RS). He highlighted how Egis can support upcoming SGTMS projects in Kai Tak and East Kowloon by leveraging global experience in infrastructure O&M with a #PPP model. 📌Internal Integration and Collaboration Laurent engaged with various teams in Hong Kong, including - Façade and Sustainability led by Hugh Brennand, Asia Managing Director of Inhabit, the Buildings Line at Egis - 10 Design, the Architecture Line at Egis, led by Barry Shapiro, Managing Principal Asia; David Pringle, Director; Colin Hutchison, Global Managing Director - General Engineering (M&E) - Environment - Aviation He held two town hall meetings at Inhabit and 10 Design, fostering open dialogue and inspiring staff with Egis' latest developments. Exciting news! 🎉 Egis awarded the Erosion Prevention and Coastal Protection Project in Quang Nam, Vietnam! Vietnam’s coastline faces increasing threats from coastal #erosion, rising sea levels, and climate change. This project, funded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the European Union (WARM Facility), will enhance coastal resilience, sustainable development, and institutional coordination to protect communities and critical infrastructure in the coastal Province of #QuangNam. Egis, in partnership with Deltares and SHD, will provide technical assistance over a 24-month engagement, supporting the Provincial PMU and key provincial departments in implementing both structural (breakwaters, groins) and non-structural (beach nourishment, decision support tools) measures. The project will also focus on: ✔ Developing an Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) strategy to improve coordination and governance. ✔ Exploring alternative sand sources to reduce dependence on unsustainable extraction. ✔ Strengthening environmental and social monitoring to ensure long-term sustainability. Egis and Inhabit at The HKIA Belt and Road International Symposium 2025 🏙️ The HKIA Belt and Road International Symposium 2025 was held from February 28 to March 1 at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (#HKIA). The event gathered industry professionals worldwide under the theme "#Cultiversal – The Tapestry of Cultural Diversity & Universality." Mr Hugh Brennand, Managing Director of Asia at Inhabit, part of the Egis Group and Dr James, Jian Xiong, Egis Managing Director of Hong Kong and Macau were invited by HKIA to attend this symposium and business network luncheon. Our involvement is further underscored by Inhabit and Egis’ ongoing support as a technical partner of Pratt Institute Center for #ClimateAdaptation led by Prof David Erdman, one of the event panelists, highlighting a strong commitment to sustainable design. David gave an interesting and thoughtful presentation on “Living with Water” and was also the panel on “Co-existence: Urban-Rural Integration and Eco-Urbanism,” which emphasized the alignment of urban development with environmental #sustainability.
