  • Wuhan, China: Inhabit, a part of Egis Group, is pleased to to announce that our Lighting Design team has won Gold in the Lighting Design – Architectural Lighting category at the 2025 MUSE Design Awards for the design of the YOFC Wuhan Headquarters. From the very beginning, the team's lighting concept was rooted in expressing the corporate identity of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) and echoing the vision of the architectural design. The result? A façade that not only illuminates, but communicates – symbolizing "link" and "transmission", the very essence of fiber optics. As you pass by at night the building draws you in like a work of art – a sculptural beacon of innovation, crafted through deep collaboration and design excellence. It’s more than just a building; it’s a reflection of YOFC’s future-forward vision and a celebration of what thoughtful, intentional lighting design can achieve. Huge congratulations to everyone involved, especially Jianxia (Silvia) Huang who led the project – this is a win for creativity, collaboration, and the power of light to tell a story. #MUSEDesignAwards #LightingDesign #InhabitGroup #YOFC #ArchitecturalLighting #AwardWinningDesign #InnovationThroughDesign #FaçadeLighting #DesignExcellence

Qianhai, China: On March 25, Laurent Germain, CEO of Egis Group, and Hugh Brennand, Asia Managing Director of Inhabit, part of the Egis Group, visited the Greater Bay Area (GBA). This visit underscores Egis' commitment to growth and innovation in China. During the trip, our team had the opportunity to explore several remarkable developments by Inhabit: - Uniway: This eco-friendly, transit-oriented development in Shenzhen’s Qianhai District spans 360,000 sqm. Within a one-hour commute of the Pearl River Delta and 30 minutes from Hong Kong, it aims to be a vibrant district center. The project features multi-level green spaces and a striking glass and steel canopy that integrates the rooftop garden with the podium's façade. - K11 ECOAST: This project incorporates the “sponge city” concept, with a drainage system and extensive greenery that absorb and permeate rainwater. It prioritizes the use of 100% local species to enhance biodiversity, and a portion of the façade features 100% recycled glass and metal panels. Named “ECOAST” to highlight its commitment to green development and coastal resource conservation, it stands as the largest cluster of LEED Platinum pre-certified buildings in the Greater Bay Area. - HSBC Office Tower: This new 25-storey office tower in Qianhai boasts a gross office area of 50,000 sqm, marking HSBC’s significant mainland China property investment in the 21st century. The building exemplifies a strong commitment to sustainability, having earned the prestigious China 3-Star Green Building Design Label and a gold rating in the LEED Core and Shell category. It is also the first office tower in Qianhai to operate entirely on renewable energy. Together Egis and Inhabit look forward to driving further developments in China and the Greater Bay Area. #InhabitGroup #SustainableDesign #FacadeDesign #FacadeEngineering #China
