Celebrating my 2-year Anniversary as a Business Owner To say that time flies is an understatement. September marks two years for me as a small business owner. I am deeply grateful for all of those who continue to help me on this journey, and the many clients who have trusted me to serve their needs. I am joyfully celebrating the career I designed that plays to my strengths and honors my values. Here are some of the valuable lessons I learned along the way… 1.    Don’t take yourself too seriously – embrace humility. 2.    When you have a bad day, lift someone else up. 3.    Be an advocate for others. 4.    Be willing to ask for help and offer to help others. 5.    Your best laid plans will change – be ready to pivot and be resilient. 6.    Your value is not measured by the hours worked but the impact you make. 7.    Play is a connection to creativity. 8.    Rest is an investment in your wellbeing. 9.    Prioritize time to think, reflect, and dream – this unlocks energy, focus and productivity. 10. Take good care of your body – your life depends on it. Onwards to another year of personal and professional growth and a commitment to wellbeing, wisdom, and wonder!

Celebrating Foundation Day at De's Technico Limited! - 1st January'25🎉 This year marks another incredible milestone in our journey. Despite the hurdles of the post-COVID years, we’ve bounced back stronger than ever. 🎯Turning Challenges into Triumphs The pandemic tested the resilience of industries worldwide. But 2024 became a breakthrough year for us: 1️⃣ Record turnover achieved, with due payments for earlier projects realized. 2️⃣ Enhanced project execution through strategic reorganization. 3️⃣ A new vertical project launched, broadening our horizons. 🏭 Transforming Our Facilities This year saw remarkable upgrades: New Machinery: Installed a robust, heavier machine for manufacturing larger DV. UL Listings: Secured UL certifications for Foam Bladder Tanks and Foam Inductors, supported by a state-of-the-art testing facility. Expansion: Our second factory and warehouse became fully operational. 🏢 Growth Beyond Expectations To top it all off, we’ve added a second office space to accommodate our growing team and ambitions. At De’s Technico Limited, every challenge is an opportunity to innovate, grow, and excel. Next week marks my 1-year anniversary serving at Simmons Capital Group and Steward Advisors Group. Here are some of the principles and goodies I've gleaned in this past season: 💰 People > Profit. Sustainable business has been a result of relationships, integrity, and culture. 🧠 Money effects everyone differently, but it does effect us. ☀️ It is powerful to see someone's stress leave their shoulders and eyes in a moment, simply by bringing clarity their situation. Truth and honesty is POWERFUL. 📈 Most people resonate moving away from sufficiency ("Do I have enough?") and towards efficiency ("What CAN I do with the resources I have?"). ⁉️ Many people struggle with the transition from working, steady income, and saving to a work optional lifestyle and drawing income from investments. I would guess this comes from the sufficiency problem (listed above) and limited data set of understanding how things operate. 🎙️ I am BLOWN AWAY how much I love this work and how purpose-driven it is. Ministry and caring for others doesn't stop when you engage the business world. In many ways, my ability to love and serve others has amplified! Many other things to note, but this is enough for now. I am very thankful for this new adventure! Further up and further in, as they say.

Celebrating a Decade of Greatness! 🎉🎈 Friends, followers, and loyal customers! Today, we are here to celebrate a spectacular milestone: our 10th anniversary as a company! 🥳🎊 Yes, you read that right! Ten years filled with laughter, challenges, and above all, success! From our humble beginnings, we've embarked on adventures that could rival the best Hollywood movies. 🎬✨ Remember when we started in the garage next to the grandmother of diaper pants, with just a tabletop lathe and a bunch of crazy ideas? Well, since then, we've grown bigger than that bunch of crazy ideas, and that's saying a lot! We've faced more obstacles than we can count: from technical issues that made us sweat more than a marathon in the desert, to emergency meetings that kept us up until the wee hours of the night. But each challenge has made us stronger, more resilient, and, well, sometimes a bit grayer due to stress, but that doesn't matter! We keep moving forward! However, it hasn't all been hard work and tears (though there were some of those too). We've shared moments of pure joy and camaraderie. So here we are, raising our cups of coffee (or tea, or juice, or whatever makes you smile in the mornings!) to toast to another 10 years of successes, challenges, and above all, fun. 🎉 Celebrating one year of hygge associates! 🎉 It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we launched hygge associates. Balancing starting a new business whilst doing the day job has had its challenges, but it’s been absolutely worth it. This year has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows, teaching us that persistence, resilience, and self-belief are key. Now we’re beginning to see the rewards of our hard work. Would we have done things differently? Perhaps. We’ve talked to other people who have left their jobs entirely to start their businesses, who have told me they wish they’d taken our path. What we’ve learned is that there’s no right or wrong way—just different approaches, each with its own merits. As we look ahead, we’re excited about what the next year will bring. It’s been a hectic few months... As a result, you may have noticed that I’ve been MIA on here. I’m not going to glorify my busyness, which is what we often see on social media and within society. The truth of the matter is that at times I’ve found it counterproductive to wear many hats. Your focus is diluted, and you feel like you’re barely keeping your head above water. When you’re immersed in the daily tasks of driving your business forwards, it can be difficult to see the progress and the impact. At times, I can become fixated on pursuing what needs to be done rather than reflecting on the highlights and successes. Recently, THIIS Magazine did a feature article on my business to celebrate our 20-year anniversary. It made me stop in my tracks and take a moment… From a market stall in Leeds to a thriving business with plans for expansion, I allowed myself the time to acknowledge my win and the grit I’ve put in. Of course, I can’t take all the credit. I have a supportive family and dedicated team around me. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
