  • March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility 🌈, a day to celebrate the resilience, achievements, and contributions of transgender and nonbinary people. At RHD, we are committed to fostering inclusive communities where everyone is valued and supported in living as their authentic selves. Visibility matters. One way RHD supports the transgender community is through Morris Home, the first residential recovery program in the U.S. specifically for transgender and gender nonconforming individuals. Morris Home provides a safe, affirming space for healing, growth, and empowerment. Today and every day, we stand for respect, dignity, and the right of all individuals to be seen, heard, and embraced for who they are. Learn more about Morris Home and how you can support this vital work: rhd.org/morrishome #TransDayOfVisibility #InclusionMatters #MorrisHome #CommunityAndSupport

  • This Women’s History Month, we celebrate the incredible contributions of women in society. At Resources for Human Development (RHD), we are honored to have strong, resilient, and compassionate women who make our organization stronger every day by providing quality services. One of those inspiring women is Cha'Khandra Reese, Clinical Manager for RHD Mobile Crisis Intervention Unit (MCIU). Reese gives her all to the program, working tirelessly to ensure its success. She is always willing to go the extra mile, putting in countless hours to support the team whenever needed. As a leader, Reese meets each staff member where they are, providing individualized support that empowers them to succeed. Despite being part of program leadership, she steps into any role necessary to keep the unit running smoothly.
