  • Our placemakers are the heart beat of what we do and who we are at ISS, bringing to life our mission: ‘We make space for people and businesses to thrive’. Yesterday morning, four placemakers with varying backgrounds, ages, experience and roles shared their inspiring stories as part of our CEO breakfast lounge in Copenhagen! Kasper Fangel and the rest of the audience heard the placemakers’ unique perspectives on a range of topics such as their most rewarding moment with ISS, what the company means to them, their motivations to come into work, what their superpower is and more! It was a pleasure to hear their inspiring stories and we were delighted to learn how ISS has impacted their lives. We are looking forward to sharing more stories at future breakfast lounges! #Placemakers #APlaceToBeYou #PeopleMakePlaces

  • ISS Facility Services, Singapore recently marked its 30th anniversary! Kasper Fangel, Troels Bjerg and Aksh Rohatgi attended the celebration to commemorate the country’s achievements and look forward to what’s next. Our customers, partners and staff attended the event, which was based on the theme of ‘Celebrating Progress, Inspiring the Future”. It was not only an opportunity to showcase the highs of 30 years of business in the country, but also highlight the outstanding contribution of the placemakers that have been with us for 30 years or longer. During their stay in Singapore, Kasper, Troels and Aksh also shared a lunch with some of the top ISS talents from the country, providing them with insights about working as leaders, dealing with challenges and discussing what makes ISS unique! Let’s celebrate 30 years of ISS Singapore and here’s to many more! #ISSSingapore #30Years #APlacetoBeYou

  • Tomorrow is International Women’s Day and we’d like to celebrate the valuable contribution that women make in our workforce! As part of our work with Tent Partnership for Refugees, we mentor female refugees so they can find meaningful employment – and we are excited to announce that we have exceeded our target! Our partnership with TENT has already seen us hire over 1,000 refugees since 2022. As part of a separate project starting in 2021, we aimed to provide external mentoring for 50 refugee women in Europe across the following three years – equipping them with the skills to support their careers moving forward. We’re delighted to say that we mentored 66 female refugees before the end of 2024! We also have plans to mentor a further 50 refugees across cities in the US by the end of next year. Our partnership with TENT is just one example of how we value inclusion at ISS and we’re proud to highlight the mentoring progress ahead of International Women’s Day. Let’s take tomorrow to recognise the impact that women have, not just at work but also across society! #InternationalWomensDay #Tent #IWD2025

  • We’re pleased to announce our 2024 annual results, demonstrating robust financial development in line with expectations: We achieved organic growth of 6.3%, an operating margin of 5%, and a free cash flow of DKK 2 billion. Our strong financial position enables us to initiate a new share buyback programme of DKK 2.5 billion, over the next 12 months. Kasper Fangel, Group CEO of ISS says: “2024 was an exciting year for ISS. We delivered on our financial targets, and our financial position is robust. We secured contract extensions for significant key customers and took critical steps to strengthen our organisation, enhance execution, and deepen our focus on meeting the evolving needs of our customers. Looking ahead, we are committed to driving strong, profitable growth. With our recently launched refreshed strategic priorities and a streamlined and focused Executive Group Management team, we are ready to accelerate growth and seize the significant global and local opportunities in our selected industry segments.” Read more about our results and the strategy updates in our 2024 annual report: https://lnkd.in/gV_x6Cmr #OneISS #SustainableGrowth #PeopleMakePlaces

  • We are kicking off the new year by celebrating a major milestone in our commitment to employee education. Today, we proudly announce the significant progress made in 2024, having provided over 70,000 of our placemakers, or their family members, with a recognised qualification, exceeding our in-year target. Recognised qualifications at ISS cover a wide range of educational and training opportunities from comprehensive learning programmes to tailored individual courses that support upskilling and career progression. These qualifications are more than just certificates on a piece of paper; they are powerful vehicles for social change and employee engagement, providing our placemakers and their closest relatives with valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth. Liz Benison, our Chief People and Transformation Officer, says: "With so many qualifications granted already, we see no reason to slow down. We are committed to going above and beyond our already ambitious goal of 100,000 qualifications by the end of this year, and we will continue to invest in our people, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to thrive and develop." • When you meet Tahmina Bushra, her extraordinary life story isn’t immediately apparent. Working at the reception at ISS HQ in Copenhagen, she is known as the friendly face who greets everyone each day, ensuring they feel welcome and receive the safety and service they need. But behind the warm smile and helping hand lies an inspiring journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. It’s a journey that has taken her and her family across the world - from Pakistan to Denmark - and involved sudden shifts in life and career, including a transition from working as a PhD researcher to periods of job instability. Today, Tahmina has rediscovered her sense of purpose in her role as a floor host at ISS, recently strengthened by an opportunity to apply her analytical background professionally once again. Reflecting on this, Tahmina says: "At first, I was unsure if I should do it, wondering if I was good enough. However, strongly supported by my manager and colleagues on the project, I finally agreed - and I haven’t regretted it one bit since. It is extremely meaningful to use my education and research background, as it has helped me regain my professional confidence and made me feel more capable and valued again.” Tahmina’s journey is a testament to her determination and the power of support from others. It shows how transformative it can be when people see and respect you for who you are.
