Mixed emotions today - from one side, pride in the incredible results we've achieved under the TREEADS project; from the other, the bittersweet feeling of seeing an inspiring journey coming close to its end. Just returned from beautiful Oslo, Norway, where we came together yesterday for the final TREEADS General Assembly. It was a truly emotional moment - a culmination of years of hard work, collaboration, and shared vision. I couldn’t be prouder of what our engineers have accomplished and of ACCELIGENCE LTD’s successful drone deployments across the majority of the pilots. Here’s to TREEADS and the many more innovations to come! Looking ahead with excitement to the 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕, organized by ACCELIGENCE LTD., taking place on 𝑴𝒂𝒚 27𝒕𝒉 at the premises of National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos".

🌍🔥 TREEADS Final General Assembly in Oslo – Wrapping Up a Landmark Journey in Wildfire Management Yesterday we gathered at the Thon Hotel Opera in Oslo for our 7th General Assembly, marking a significant milestone in our mission to develop a holistic ecosystem for wildfire prevention, detection, and restoration. The day opened with an inspiring keynote by Prof. Samuel L. 🚀 ODYSSEUS project Co-organised the 𝐅𝐂𝐓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩🌍 On 1 April 2025, ODYSSEUS, alongside FLEXI-cross, TENSOR and TENACITy Project, co-organised a successful workshop that brought together Horizon Europe-funded projects focused on innovation in border security, counterterrorism, AI ethics, and standardisation. Over 45 participants joined us online to exchange insights, share lessons learned, and explore future collaboration opportunities. Key highlights from the ODYSSEUS project presentations included the implementation of Digital Travel Credentials (DTC), ethical AI discussions, and contributions to international standardisation efforts. The workshop strengthened partnerships and set the foundation for joint publications and policy-relevant contributions. Today marks the official start of the 7th and final General Assembly of the TREEADS project, hosted in Oslo, Norway, on April 9–10, 2025, by RISE Fire Research. The meeting gathers partners from across Europe and beyond to reflect on three years of joint work toward building a holistic fire management ecosystem for prevention, detection, and restoration of environmental disasters. 📍 On April 8, ahead of the meeting, a group of TREEADS partners joined a guided forest walk through a WUI area near Oslo — a fitting prelude to a project deeply rooted in wildfire resilience. The first day of the meeting will open with a keynote address by Professor Samuel L. Manzello, a globally recognized expert in wildland-urban interface (WUI) fires. By conducting both experimental and numerical studies on ignition mechanisms, fire behavior, and smoke spread, they generate crucial data to improve firefighting measures and health risk assessments.
