Today marks the official start of the 7th and final General Assembly of the TREEADS project, hosted in Oslo, Norway, on April 9–10, 2025, by RISE Fire Research. The meeting gathers partners from across Europe and beyond to reflect on three years of joint work toward building a holistic fire management ecosystem for prevention, detection, and restoration of environmental disasters. 📍 On April 8, ahead of the meeting, a group of TREEADS partners joined a guided forest walk through a WUI area near Oslo — a fitting prelude to a project deeply rooted in wildfire resilience. The first day of the meeting will open with a keynote address by Professor Samuel L. Manzello, a globally recognized expert in wildland-urban interface (WUI) fires. The agenda includes concluding presentations from work packages and national use cases, as well as invited insights from civil protection authorities. Stay tuned for more updates from Oslo!
