The team is making great progress at The Huntington Library - Desert Garden project as they accomplish key milestones. The limestone rockery wall north of the conservatory has been completed, all structural footings are poured, and the dry stream bed is complete up to the wooden footbridge feature.   At project completion, the Desert Garden addition will include a new shade structure surrounding the conservatory, new concrete hardscape paths with desert rock features, a new wooden footbridge, and new low-voltage lighting & irrigation lines. #BuildingwithMastery #SnyderLangston

SETTING THE GOLD STANDARD: THE HELEN CALOGGERO WOMEN’S AND FAMILY CENTER New medical office buildings in Orange County are a rarity, but they have the power to redefine excellence. PMB, Providence, Boulder Associates, and Snyder Langston have done just that with the Helen Caloggero Women’s and Family Center, setting a new benchmark. The first time I stepped into this 137,000 SF facility, I was struck by its exceptional design—so much so that I called Jake Dinnen to say, “You guys nailed every detail.” During a private tour, I realized the attention to detail extended far beyond my initial impression. AN ELEVATED PATIENT EXPERIENCE From arrival, patients experience a level of convenience rarely seen in OC medical offices. A canopy-covered drop-off creates a seamless, hotel-like experience with unmatched front-door accessibility. Inside the lobby, every element is intentionally crafted. The flooring and illuminated wall features honor the Sisters of Providence Health, inspired by their handmade doilies to raise money for medical care. The hospital hand-selected the artwork, while the wave-designed ceiling adds a unique architectural touch. The building’s namesake is honored with her story on the main wall. INTUITIVE WAYFINDING: A SMALL DETAIL WITH BIG IMPACT Navigating healthcare spaces can be stressful, but here, intuitive wayfinding removes confusion. Well-lit common areas, clearly marked suite numbers, and soffit lighting ensure seamless movement—critical for elderly patients, parents with sick children, and those with mobility challenges. MORE THAN A BUILDING—A SYMBOL OF EXCELLENCE A building’s image, design, and functionality can create a perception of the quality of care within. This building is a statement. It raises the bar for healthcare facilities, proving that thoughtful design enhances both patient experience and provider success. TENANT EXPERIENCE: A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT The hospital and development team weren’t the only ones shaping this facility. Tenant input on interior design, layout, and core elements was carefully implemented. Kellie Hill from MedWest Realty played a key role in securing space for Cancer and Blood Care Specialists - Stavroula "Stevie" Otis, ensuring a seamless leasing process. The practice manager, shared: “One patient said, ‘I am so happy for Dr. Otis—this space truly reflects the level of care she provides.’” EVEN THE PARKING STRUCTURE WAS DESIGNED WITH PURPOSE Fun fact: this facility has the deepest underground parking structure in OC. Despite its depth, the lighting, signage, and a bright color palette create a welcoming, easy-to-navigate environment. The Irvine Company – Avella II project has completed foundations for the first of five phases and the team is currently prepping for framing. The 313-unit garden-style apartment complex spans 14 acres, featuring 22 residential buildings and a standalone amenity building. It offers 1 to 3-bedroom units and 600 parking spaces, including 154 EV-ready spots, 326 in garages, and 274 surface spaces. A few weeks ago, in partnership with Riverside University Health System, we celebrated the topping-out on an unprecedented project, The Wellness Village in Mead Valley. This 450,000 SF behavioral health campus will transform healthcare by integrating behavioral health treatment with medical care and social services. This milestone represents more than just construction progress; it’s about transforming healthcare by integrating behavioral health treatment with medical care and social services. When completed in 2026, the Village will feature Riverside County’s first mental health urgent care and crisis residential program for children under 13, to address a critical gap in healthcare service. The Wellness Village will provide a complete range of services that address every level of recovery, including urgent behavioral health treatment, supportive housing and residential and outpatient care. The campus will also feature primary and specialty medical care, dental services, substance use disorder treatment, and a pharmacy open to the public.
