🌷🌷Reflections from Amsterdam / Gedachten vanuit Amsterdam What I love most about my job is getting to know the driven, inspiring, and courageous founders behind innovative climate technology ideas. Hearing their stories—their struggles, eureka moments, bold career moves, and the passion that led them to work in this field—always leaves me in awe and filled with respect for them. After all these years, seems so true to me that it "takes a village" to make a climate tech innovation succeed: investors, knowledge experts, professional services, corporates willing to pilot their solutions, patient capital, mentors, public funding, grants to help to de-risk, understanding and caring families and friends behind them. I see the climate tech innovators as our superheroes (hell yeah! - maybe cheesy - but if they give my kids a better chance to live in a better world, they are to me!), and we should do our best to become that supportive village. Last week we had the joy to host in Cambridge and London the Climate Tech SuperCluster ClimAccelerator Cohort. Thank you Ewa Marek , Juan Ventosa . It was a great pleasure for us to host the #Climate #Innovation Showcase Day at Google's headquarters in Berlin at the end of January. A month and a half later, we can say that there was a great deal of interest in the pitching teams and we made a lot of intros afterwards. Thank you for your support. We are very proud of the pitching teams from Berlin Cohort 2 and Cambridge Cohort 6. We are keeping the pace up and are in the process of making our investment decisions for cohort Cambridge 7 and Berlin 3. In a few weeks we will also start the next cohorts and are in the middle of the preparations and selection interviews. It seems that the climate is changing faster than we all feared. We are trying to keep up with the pace and provide all the more solutions. We would like to end the post with the words of Carbon13 Founding Partner and CSO Michael Langguth, which also mark the end of the event video: "I would invite everyone interested in entrepreneurship and climate change to come and engage with us in some way, shape or form".
