🟦 Introducing the projects composing DETECTION HUB! 🟦 FLEXI-cross project aims to increased security and reliability of EU border checks for people and goods, while enhancing and improving the border management capabilities, through the development, deployment and validation of a toolkit of innovative border checking solutions, in real operational environments, addressing road, rail and port borders. The resulting flexibility and dynamicity of border check planning will offer novel capabilities such as dynamic deployment of check-points and support via mobile applications for border personnel, while guaranteeing high level of security, privacy of personal data and protection of people's fundamental rights. To achieve these ambitious goals, the FLEXI-cross project engages key European border authorities and end-users (police, port/rail operators, etc.) and brings them together with leading SW and technology developers, research organizations and innovative SMEs, to co-design the requirements and the solutions and to validate the project outcomes. 🟦 Introducing the projects composing DETECTION HUB! 🟦 The primary goal of Smart Maritime and Underwater Guardian SMAUG_EU is to improve the underwater detection of threats in ports and their entrance routes, by means of an integrated system capable of providing data concerning threat analysis between three main elements: ports security infrastructure, advanced underwater detection systems and surveillance vessels. To enhance maritime and port safety, SMAUG_EU will make use of the most recent developments in underwater detection, group decision-making, and clever integration of security information. With a duration of 36 months until September 2026, SMAUG_EU is a Horizon Europe funded project, with a Consortium of twenty-two organisations across Europe, including Universities, SMEs, Research Organisations, Public Institutions as well as Customs, to achieve the maximum results and impact of the project's objectives, offering their unique expertise and knowledge.
