American sustainable energy technologies are ready to meet increasing energy demand. This week, BCSE was thrilled to share this headline with Congressional staff during a Capitol Hill briefing organized by the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI). BCSE was joined by industry panelists to share the findings of the #SustainableEnergy in America #2025Factbook, released in February in partnership with BloombergNEF. The Factbook reveals that U.S. power generation reached its highest volume in two decades in 2024, driven by growth in renewable energy technologies and by stable natural gas generation capacity. These energy growth sectors face favorable market conditions as the United States eyes rising energy demand. Special thanks to our industry speakers: - Derrick Flakoll, Senior Policy Associate, North America, BloombergNEF - Diana Godlevskaya, Deputy Director, Federal Affairs, American Clean Power Association (ACP) - Charles Hernick, Head of U.S. Environmental Policy, Amazon - James Manser, Vice President, Global Government Relations, Johnson Controls - Jack T., Head of Energy Policy, Net Power - Michael Yancey, Director of Congressional Policy, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) #GetTheFacts by downloading the Factbook today at bcse.org/factbook.

The AI race has begun – a race not only to innovate, but to secure investment, train the next generation of skilled workers, collect data, and optimize the #energy grid. This month, BCSE and #BCSEMembers Aspen Technology and Enchanted Rock convened a roundtable discussion in Washington, DC to explore how the United States can harness #AI to identify and implement energy savings. BCSE's Emmy Deignan breaks down the top takeaways from the discussion, including: 1) AI is a boon for business. AI has been helping companies make more sustainable decisions for decades. 2) Meeting growing demand requires utilizing the entire energy toolkit. All energy solutions and generation sources have a role to play in meeting this unprecedented load growth. 3) Public-private partnerships are key to increasing energy supply. Energy advocates must bring their best ideas to the table for meeting data center energy demand and emphasize the urgency for efficient policy adoption. 4) Supply chain constraints require a balancing act. As the United States expands its grid, energy production, and data center development, energy supply chains will be pushed to the limit. Special thanks to Paige Marie Morse, PhD and Joel Yu for their work organizing and moderating this exciting discussion. Read BCSE's takeaways and more: https://lnkd.in/e9GVUahN
