A year after producing its first power, South Fork Wind — the country's first commercial-scale offshore wind farm — has proven to be a reliable source of clean energy for New York. Developed by Ørsted, the project is a result of a LIPA-led initiative to meet the growing energy needs of Long Island's South Fork and has been providing clean, reliable, and affordable power to 70,000 homes.
