Privileged to have been invited by the UK Department for Business and Trade to present Summatic at UK-Southeast Asia Tech Week 2025, across Manila and Ho Chi Minh City. It was a productive week consisting of deep-dive discussions on AI in education, learning innovation and UK-Southeast Asia collaboration. We finish the trade mission with new pilots launching in both the Philippines and Vietnam, alongside promising connections with government, corporate, and investment partners. Grateful to His Majesty's Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific Martin Kent, Deputy Trade Commissioner Rhiannon Harries, local DBT and embassy representatives for a well-executed agenda and strategic introductions throughout the week! • Classroom experiments are now live in Summatic! 📈 During Aureo D.'s lecture at UCL, when presented with a random price in a specified interval, students indicated their willingness to attend a Dua Lipa concert. Summatic presented immediate regression analysis and estimated the probability of purchase as a function of price using Logit, Probit and Linear models. Summatic enables you to conduct a wide-range of in-class experiments, including Double Auction. Student engagement has been exceptionally strong due to active participation, real-time data analysis and the incorporation of real-world scenarios. Would you buy a Dua Lipa concert ticket for £253.36? Apparently yes for some UCL students in Aureo D.'s lecture this morning. Students were very price insensitive but we got estimates of the probability of buying as a function of price using Logit, Probit, and Linear models. While some were willing to pay a lot, the estimates suggested the median student would need to be PAID £280 to attend. Using classroom data is a lot of fun - for us and hopefully for students too. We just added classroom experiments to Summatic and as far as we are aware this the 1st time data was collected in a lecture with immediate regression analysis and graphs on screen.
