Yesterday, we hosted our Annual Healthcare Roadshow - a fantastic event that brought together colleagues from healthcare sites across the country. It was a day filled with learning, collaboration, and inspiration!   During the event, four guest speakers joined us to share their valuable insights - a big thank you goes to: - Paula Farrell, from CLS discussed microbiological testing of food and water samples. - Breffni Mc Guinness from LauraLynn discussed end-of-life care and supporting families with life-limiting illnesses. - Kimberly Fitch Tully, CEO of Engaging Dementia discussed understanding and supporting those living with dementia. - Simon Mooney & Eimear Owens from Santa Maria discussed elevating vegetables with spices in healthcare menus.   Throughout the day we took time for TAKE15, Aramark’s mental health campaign. This initiative encourages our colleagues, clients, and customers to take a 15-minute break from their busy schedules. At Aramark, we remain committed to making a meaningful impact on healthcare through innovative solutions focused on nutrition, wellbeing, and compassionate care. Another great event attended today The Irish Food Trade Connect Forum, big thanks to Margaret Dineen ACMA CGMA and Bernie Everard for having us showcase our products with Midlands Ireland. I have been speaking recently at different events and have been referencing our very first few events with BiaSol, attending the Solas Food Market in Portarlington. I will never forget meeting Seamus and Mimo, they were the first few people we met who were in awe of what we were doing and gave us encouraging and honest feedback (and even bought our first baking mixes!). Today we were in the room showcasing both of our brands. It brought me back to our days in Portarlington and their encouraging words really stood to me. Lurgan Foods (BiaSol), an Offaly-based sustainable food business, aims to raise €500,000 in funding later this year to aid with its international expansion. Based in Tullamore, the company was founded by siblings Niamh Dooley and Ruairi Dooley in 2020. The business has 10 staff and has raised €500,000 in total to date.
