The Football Association (FA) has launched a four-year, landmark strategy to grow and develop grassroots football in England. The Fair Game Index 2024 has been launched today with football clubs and fans discovering where they rank. The Index, which features Scottish clubs and National League clubs for the first time, has used 226 data points across four pillars to establish which are the best run clubs in football. The no 1 club in English Football is Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. The No 1 club in Scotland - and overall - is Celtic Football Club. The full list of clubs (206 in total) from 11 leagues including The Premier League, EFL (English Football League), where they rank and how the Index was collated can be viewed in the report. There are some interesting findings in the report as well as highlighting well-run clubs such as Norwich City Football Club, Cambridge United Football Club and AFC Wimbledon from outside of the Premier League. In terms of media coverage, as Head of Media for Fair Game UK, the Index has secured coverage in The Guardian, The Independent, City AM, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Record, The Herald and various regional media, with the expectations of more to follow. It has been a real team effort - and not withoutits challenges - to collate the report, to pull together the collatoral and ensure the clubs, fans and media are aware of the Index. Season 2 Kits for Clubs is now live. To date we have given away 6,000+ high quality football kits free of charge to clubs around the world, teams who share a passion for the sport but do not necessarily have the support or access to facilities that so many take for granted. Uniting football and fashion remains integral to our plans, building communities at all levels, spanning grassroots clubs, community projects, collaborations and pro football teams. The progress that has been made in that last 9 months has been great to see, with many new doors opening and many new projects on the horizon, but at the start remains Kits for Clubs and our commitment to support those that need it. Football really is powerful, we see this with so many iterations of jerseys as fashion items around the globe and the pull of the Premier League, but we have always retained that football is for the fans, the people that really make the game. The fact is that grassroots remains underfunded and many teams go without, Kits for Clubs is there to support and as our community grows, so will our commitment to grassroots.
