Pellets with high durability exhibit greater resistance to mechanical stress and environmental factors, ensuring consistent performance and nutrient delivery to animals. Optimizing performance is essential for the long-term success of poultry and swine operations. For example, Glover et al. (2015) observed a 3-point decrease in feed conversion when increasing pellet content in the feed pan from 50% to 70%.
