EUREKA Project | EUROPEAN KEY SOLUTIONS FOR VERTIPORTS AND UAM 👉 Our new project landing page with all important information about the EUREKA project is online: 🌐 https://lnkd.in/eCKZZunq ℹ️ In EUREKA, four solutions are being pursued that together will cover the entire arrival, departure and turnaround process of vertiports. These include the design of the arrival and departure of a vertiport, including the route and trajectory, as well as the management of disruptions and emergencies. The aim is to develop a template that EU Member States can use to integrate #UAM procedures into their national legislation. 💡 We are taking on the role of one of the USSPs in the project, providing not only the UTM system, but also airspace sensor hardware and extensive expertise and experience in U-Space and operational deployments. #EUREKA #UrbanAirMobility #Vertiports EUROCONTROL

At Warsaw Babice Airport (EPBC), we’ve launched a real time GNSS jamming and spoofing monitoring system. It tracks all frequency ranges used by various satellite constellations and displays the results on a live webcam feed. The camera shows an overview of the system's performance, including basic data on signal quality. While the system also collects detailed information, such as signal parameters, spectrum analysis, and anomaly classification, we’ve decided to only show the most essential data during the testing phase to keep the view clear. aero.webcam service allows you to view also weather conditions and GNSS anomalies from the past. Please click PLAY button or select a date below picture to see a time lapse of past events. This project was developed in collaboration with GPSPATRON, which provided the system for anomaly monitoring and classification. Once the testing phase is complete, we’ll release more detailed information about the project. EPBC is the second-largest airport in Warsaw, primarily serving general aviation and state aviation. https://aero.webcam/epbc/ #GNSS #jamming #spoofing

Isavia ANS has published a Transition Plan for Performance Based Navigation for Iceland, in the document PBN Transition plan for ICELAND. The document is published in accordance with the Icelandic regulation 444/2020 that implement EU Regulation 2018/1048. Design of standard enroute-, approach- and departure routes will be based on the GNSS instead of Non-Directional Beacons (NDBs). The Transition Plan was prepared in coordination with airspace users and airports and is updated every year in the fall. https://hubs.la/Q02Yvm8Y0

Happy to support the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), the Polish ANSP 🇵🇱, with optimised runway delivery simulation to help them improve runway throughput at Warsaw Airport. Last month, we kicked off a real-time simulation project with PANSA at #EIH the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub, to test the use of the Optimal Runway Delivery (ORD) tool at Warsaw Airport. Current challenges at Warsaw Airport include suboptimal aircraft spacing that does not adequately account for wind, loss of runway capacity due to inefficient configurations, and difficulties in synchronising arriving and departing flights. The need for change is driven by the limitations posed by the existing capacity, particularly with hub-type traffic and safety concerns related to high-density operations – all of which are issues that can be addressed by ORD, the Optimised Runway Delivery tool. The simulation aims to integrate seamlessly departures and arrivals, to adjust spacing dynamically for various meteorological conditions, and to allow for ad hoc adjustments in spacing on the same runway. These changes are expected to enhance runway throughput 📈, thus significantly boosting operational efficiency and safety at Warsaw Airport. ℹ️ More info: Alessandro Scordino

🚀 On December 12, 2024, the ANTICIPATE project team gathered in Naples to assess our progress and chart the course for the future of air traffic management. Key topics discussed included: 🔹 Enhancing operational scenarios for air traffic management 🔹 Addressing challenges in airspace management 🔹 Exploring innovative tools and automation to support air traffic controllers in decision-making 🔹 Investigating the role of Artificial Intelligence in improving operational efficiency while ensuring transparency in its decision-making processes 🔹 The integration of virtual centres for more flexibility and resilience in airspace management We also focused on the importance of collaboration with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to align with existing standards and future aviation goals. We are excited to foster joint initiatives with ANTICIPATE’s sibling projects and continue making strides in shaping the future of European aviation. Looking ahead, we’re preparing for our next meeting in Milan, May 2025, where we’ll dive deeper into our research and strategic plans. ANTICIPATE is truly pushing the boundaries of innovation in aviation! ✈️ Learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/dbx9xf99 SESAR Joint Undertaking #HorizonEU #AirTrafficFlowandCapacityManagement #futureofaviation #AviationInnovation

Shorter construction time, lower cost and smaller footprint than a manned tower. Plus many operational advantages.
🚁 Come behind the scenes with our innovative tower systems! 🌐 We are proud to be part of a pioneering effort, installing a 30-metre tower equipped with cutting-edge Digital Aerodrome Services (DAS) for Airservices Australia. This marks a significant step in transforming airspace management for Canberra and beyond. Our DAS leverages 360-degree camera technology, offering air traffic controllers real-time panoramic views of airfields from remote digital towers. This innovation reshapes how airspace is monitored and managed, ensuring both safety and efficiency. The installation includes a 30-metre, 23.9-tonne mast, designed to support these state-of-the-art systems. With operations set to commence next year, this project is set to elevate air traffic control to a new level in Australia! #Frequentis #BehindTheScenes #DigitalAerodromeService #AviationInnovation #AirTrafficControl #Canberra #TechnologyLeadership
