Happy first workiversary to our Account Manager, Rosie 🎉 Over the past year, she has been collaborating with various teams to align and integrate priorities for the successful delivery of a modernised airspace. Rosie has said that during her time, attending the Women in Programme Management conference was a standout moment, reigniting her passion for project management and reminding her of the impact we can all make in driving positive change. She was particularly inspired by the keynote from legendary rugby player Maggie Alphonsi, who shared her experiences of overcoming challenges and performing under pressure. We can't wait to see what is in store for her at ACOG over the next year!

Today we share more Civil Aviation Authority airport data - this time showing the growth of aircraft movements in the London region over the last three decades. Across all London airports there's been increased aircraft movements‼️ Specifically: - 208% increase at London Luton Airport - 200% increase at London City Airport - 159% increase at London Stansted Airport - 34% increase at London Gatwick - 7% increase at Heathrow As the UK aviation industry continues to expand, it is crucial that airspace is upgraded to meet this rising demand 📈 More on UK airspace modernisation can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ghRpkm4Z

We've taken a look at Civil Aviation Authority airport data to show you just how much UK aviation has grown over the last 30 years. Today we're looking specifically at two Scottish airports, where we've seen passenger numbers soar 🔼 Edinburgh has seen passengers spike from 2.9 to 14.3 million over the three decades, while Glasgow has also seen growth from 5.4 to 7.3 million. With more and more passengers expected to fly in the coming years, it's essential we make our airspace infrastructure more resilient to keep up with the traffic in our skies. The UK Civil Aviation Authority has recently approved an amendment to simplify the airspace structure in the Northwest. This change, in the area currently known as the Manchester Low-Level Route (MLLR), will enhance safety and efficiency, and enable smoother navigation between Manchester and Liverpool Airports for general aviation pilots. While a separate piece of work to the airspace change proposals being coordinated by ACOG, this marks another important step forward in airspace modernisation. Smaller yet crucial upgrades, like this one, continue to be implemented alongside the airspace modernisation programme in support of the aviation industry’s goal of quicker, quieter and cleaner flights for all ✈️
