Ramping up for Halloween? Play safe and remember to: Wear Reflective Gear or Carry Lights: Make sure costumes include reflective elements or that children carry flashlights or glow sticks. This helps drivers see them, especially after dark. Stay on Sidewalks and Crosswalks: Use sidewalks whenever possible, and cross the street at designated crosswalks. Avoid running across the road to ensure drivers have time to see and stop for you. Choose Safe Costumes: Costumes should fit properly to prevent tripping and not obstruct vision. Avoid masks that limit peripheral sight, and consider face paint instead. Go with a Group and Stay in Familiar Areas: Children should trick-or-treat in groups or with an adult, sticking to well-lit and familiar neighborhoods for added safety. Inspect Candy Before Eating: Wait until returning home to inspect all treats. Discard any unwrapped or suspicious items to ensure they are safe to eat. Have a fun and safe Halloween! 🎃

🎃 Have a Safe and Spooky Halloween! 👻 Halloween is here, and we want to make sure you and your little ghouls and goblins have a fun—and safe—evening! Here are a few simple tips to ensure a memorable Halloween night for all: Glow and Go: Equip costumes with reflective tape or glow sticks to keep trick-or-treaters visible in the dark. Flashlights can be handy too! 🔦 Costume Safety: Make sure costumes are the right length to prevent trips and falls. 🎩 Street Smarts: Cross the street at corners, use crosswalks, and walk—don’t run! Watch for cars, and remind kids to stay on sidewalks or paths. 🚦 Stay in Groups: There’s safety (and fun!) in numbers. Travel in groups, and for younger children, make sure a responsible adult is along for the adventure. 🤝 Check Treats: Before eating any treats, do a quick check to make sure everything is sealed and safe. Better safe than sorry! 🍬 Be Respectful: Not every house may be open to trick-or-treaters.
