Accounting Manager

Camino Search is excited to partner with a leading brand in their space, boasting over $1 billion in revenue. This company has taken on exciting new finance/accounting leadership. With that, Camino is proud to have supported the VP of accounting on a number of exciting hires to drive automation + transformation projects.

With that, we are delighted to be supporting the hire of an Accounting Manager to help lead these efforts. Candidates must have a CPA to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, including generating reports, analyzing data, and preparing/reviewing journal entries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and address reconciling items in a timely and accurate manner.
• Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants, providing training and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Conduct P&L variance analysis to budget and recommend actionable insights.
• Enhance internal controls over operational accounting processes and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and establish best practices.
• Manage fixed assets and capital projects within the ERP system.
• Handle lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 6+ years of corporate general accounting experience, with at least 2 years managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficiency in Dynamics365 or similar ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and Power BI.
