Did you know that the most common cancer found in men ages 18-40 is testicular cancer? April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, a time to get familiar with symptoms, encourage screening and self-checking, and find ways to support those living with this cancer. Early detection can help lead to quicker, less invasive treatments. That's why we're grateful for all of the physicians in The Network who are dedicated to helping their patients stay on top of screenings and symptoms. #TesticularCancerAwarenessMonth #TesticularCancer #CancerAwareness

Today is World Health Day. This year's theme, "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures," encourages us to focus on how we can eliminate preventable maternal and newborn deaths and encourage better lifelong health. At The Network, we help doctors and their patients access the best possible healthcare resources, including the latest cancer clinical trials and comprehensive local care. Good lifelong health starts with high-quality care in your community, and we are working hard every day to make that more of a possibility for more patients. #WorldHealthDay #HopefulFutures #HealthForAll

A recent survey from the American Cancer Society reported that 61% of cancer patients found it somewhat or very difficult to afford their care. That's why we focus on creating strategic payer relationships within The Network that help practices grow while also making care more affordable for patients. We believe growing a robust community oncology system is the way to get the best of both worlds. Find out how we do it here: https://lnkd.in/g8wtVc2m #CommunityOncology #CancerCare #HealthcareCosts

Bringing healthcare innovation directly to patients is one of our driving goals at The Network, and we're always excited to see technology making a real impact in patient care. Recently, Texas Oncology and Canopy entered into a collaboration that will help cancer patients get the support they need from their own homes. Using remote monitoring and AI, Canopy will allow patients to opt into a system that records their symptoms between appointments. This real-time data will help care teams proactively assess whether a patient needs additional care before their next visit. Canopy integrates with iKnowMed, the EHR system from Ontada, McKesson's insights and technology business, that Texas Oncology already uses. This information ecosystem will help care teams stay on top of patients' symptoms and determine the best follow-up treatment options without the patient needing to leave home. “We know that it will improve our symptom response time, and we’ve already demonstrated it will lead to better symptom control, reduced ER visits, reduced hospitalization, and reduced total cost of care,” says Debra Patt, MD PhD MBA, Executive Vice President of Public Policy and Strategy for Texas Oncology. Find out more about the exciting impact of this partnership here: https://lnkd.in/gzD6JW9i #HealthcareInnovation #AI #EHR

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the US, but it's also preventable and treatable in many cases. Thanks to advanced research and clinical trials, our understanding of these diseases continues to increase, making living with cancer more possible than ever. April is National Cancer Control Month, a time set aside to raise awareness about cancer prevention and treatment in the US. We're grateful for all the dedicated providers and practices in The Network who are working hard to detect cancer early, provide support for patients, and apply the latest technology for better treatments. #CancerControl #CommunityOncology #CancerDetection

We live in an age of rapidly advancing medical research, which means choosing the right treatment for patients can be tricky. In this episode of the Oncology Decoded podcast, panelists discussed treatment for hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) and the question of when--and how--to optimize or intensify therapy. The discussion included Manoj Bupathi, MD, MS, president and medical oncologist at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers; Benjamin Garmezy, MD, Assistant Director of Genitourinary Research at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI); and Mark Fleming, MD, Disease Chair of the Genitourinary Cancer Research Executive Committee for SCRI at Virginia Oncology Associates. Ultimately, the conversation stressed the importance of personalized care and ongoing research, two things The Network is focused on supporting within the oncology care community. 🎧 Listen to Episode 2 and join the conversation! https://lnkd.in/dvt-bRJW #ProstateCancer #CancerCare #CancerResearch
