  • The 2nd annual Project Search Reverse Job Fair was held at Wayne Memorial Hospital on March 26th. Students were set up in the glass concourse and interviewers were invited to visit and check out prospective employees. It’s a twist on the traditional job fair, with a stationary location for those seeking employment to get the interview experience. The interactive opportunity included each student providing copies of their resume’ for review. Project Search at Wayne Memorial helps challenged youth aging out of high school learn career skills and, hopefully, find gainful employment afterwards. Several of the students have been hired by Wayne Memorial with ready to apply qualifications in several departments.

  • The WMH stroke support group plays a crucial role in the recovery and rehabilitation process for stroke survivors and their families. It provides a safe, understanding environment where individuals can share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Participants gain emotional support, learn coping strategies, and access valuable resources to navigate life after a stroke. Additionally, these groups foster a sense of community, helping members build connections that reduce feelings of isolation and promote overall well-being. By coming together, stroke survivors can empower each other on their journeys to recovery and resilience. Join us the first Wednesday of each month at 3pm!

  • Little Madison Grimm was born at Wayne Memorial Hospital on National Agriculture Day, March 18th. Weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 inches long, she’s the first child born to parents Rhiannon Lloyd and Luke Grimm of East Stroudsburg at 8:36 pm Tuesday night. The family received a gift bag full of local farm products and goodies from Bonnie Latourette, representing the Wayne/Pike Farm Bureau. National Ag Day is a time dedicated to farmers, their families and all the agricultural workers that provide us with a safe and abundant food supply. The gifts included locally produced maple syrup and pancake mix, honey, cheese, cocoa butter, and more.             The birth was facilitated by Certified Nurse Midwife Isabella Herron at Wayne Memorial’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites. “We had a great experience,” the couple said. “Everything was great.”    Photos l to r: Luke Grimm, Rhiannon Lloyd, and baby Madison                       Mary Jeanne Joyal, RN and Bonnie Latourette
