Morgan Silfies is WMH’s January Employee of the Month (EOM). Morgan is a social worker and has been with Wayne Memorial for almost three years. She was nominated by her coworkers in the Social Work Department and they had very positive comments about her “the first to volunteer, seeks out opportunities to grow as a social worker, empathetic.” Social Work Department Manager Mary Burgio, LCSW, said Morgan is “Very passionate about her values as a social worker and hospital employee.” Morgan first started as an intern in the department. “It’s been amazing to watch her grow as an adult and as a social worker,” Burgio added. WMH CEO Jim Pettinato presented Morgan with a plaque, a monetary award, and a gift card. Jim was joined by other administrators and many of Morgan’s coworkers. Congratulations Morgan and thank you! She is now eligible for Employee of the Year 2025.
