About us

Executive Forum is a highly engaged community of executives from leading corporations who share a passion for "what's next" to drive the business growth of tomorrow. Since its formation in 1995, the Executive Forum has grown to over 400 members who are the top-most leaders at market moving companies, run portfolios for the most innovative PE firms and serve as directors on boards — public, private and non-profit. Admission to the Executive Forum is based upon a rigorous nomination and review process. By design, approximately half the EF members are President/CEOs, and the others are at the COO, CFO, CMO, CIO and VP levels. About 85% of the members are currently sitting executives, with about 15% in active career transitions.

The Executive Forum’s Private Equity Special Interest Group (PE SIG) hosted an engaging meeting with Marilyn Adler, Managing Partner at Mizzen Capital, a provider of debt financing to U.S.-based lower middle-market companies. Mizzen targets sectors such as manufacturing, industrials, business and healthcare services, IT and software, and alternative energy. Marilyn has extensive experience in private debt and equity, having held leadership roles at leading investment firms. She focuses on providing tailored financing solutions to U.S.-based businesses, leveraging her expertise in structured credit, portfolio management, and risk assessment. Marilyn shared valuable insights into how private credit is filling the financing gap for businesses that may not fit traditional bank lending criteria. She highlighted Mizzen Capital’s approach to providing flexible debt solutions for U.S.-based companies with $1M–$15M in EBITDA and under 4x leverage, emphasizing the increasing demand for non-bank financing in today’s economic environment. She shared several case studies that illustrated how private credit structures can support business growth, acquisitions, and operational improvements. Real-world examples helped highlight the strategic advantages of private debt solutions in different scenarios.
