Roger opened with a reference to his tennis days and a reminder that the greatest tennis pro ever - Roger Federer for him - only won 54% of his career points and in the top tournaments closer to 52%. “That’s a lot of failure for the best ever. So, if the margins are so thin - what makes the difference between winning in the end and losing? The key is to look at failure and keep processing, keep making decisions that allow you to perform when the match is to be decided. Don’t ignore your failure because that’s where your best learning comes from. Failure makes up almost half your data set. So that’s why this night is so special.
