In 2024, the Mass Leads Act positioned Massachusetts to lead in climatetech. Now, we need to back the programs that will turn that momentum into real progress. Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is key to building the workforce and tech behind a net-zero future. Sense joined 53 other organizations in urging the Legislature to fully fund MassCEC at $30M in the FY26 budget.
In November 2024, lawmakers passed transformative climatetech provisions in the Mass Leads Act, positioning our Commonwealth to be the best place to start, staff, and scale climatetech companies. Now, we must support the programs that will advance our leadership in this burgeoning industry. Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s programs play a key role in training our equitable clean energy workforce, as well as fostering technical innovation. ELM is proud to have helped convene fifty-four institutions to call on the Massachusetts Legislature to fully fund MassCEC's work at $30M in the FY26 Budget, which will accelerate our net-zero transition and benefit our communities. ➡️Read our shared letter: https://bit.ly/3EhcKQ0 #MApoli ACCELR8, Activate, ACT | The Alliance for Climate Transition, Beacon Climate Innovations, change:WATER Labs, Clean Asset Partners, Clean Energy Ventures, Commonwealth Fusion Systems, Dottir Labs, Elephant Energy, Ensovi, Inc., FirstLight, Fleet Robotics, Form Energy, Green Path Strategies, GreenLabs Recycling, Greentown Labs, Ivys Inc., LineVision, Mintz, NewGrid, PowerIntel, PowerOptions, Inc., Promethean Power Systems, Respire Energy, SeaAhead, Sense, Solect Energy, Solstice, Stance Capital, The Boston Foundation, The Engine, The Green Engineer, Inc., Transaera, Inc., TripZero, Upstream Tech, VECARIUS, Inc., Verdox, Via Separations
