I am just getting back from New Zealand and grateful for the conversations, ideas, and energy at #DigiCom25. Thank you to the NZ Institute of Building team for the warm welcome and inviting me as the keynote speaker this year.
I shared how we at Neutral are building differentiated living experiences. From Bakers Place, Madison’s first mass timber project, to Neutral.1005 North Edison will soon be the tallest mass timber building in the Northern Hemisphere and the world's largest Phius + Living Future certified building. I also presented how we’re using technology to streamline every phase of development—from design to investment—while aiming to make sustainable, high-performance housing more accessible. Our first project built using this productized development system is 517 W Main by Neutral in Madison. It’s designed for repeatability, built with CLT and cold-formed steel, and structured around a simple 12x12 planning grid. The goal: create a scalable solution for missing middle housing that balances quality, cost, and speed—without compromise.
Looking forward to getting back to the work—finding new ways to deliver healthy living through thoughtful, sustainable design.
