🌍 Policy, Innovation, and Net Zero – #MARINEWIND at the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub 2025 Annual Assembly We’re proud to announce that Dr. Inès Tunga, EngD CEng, Practice Manager at Energy Systems Catapult, will speak at the Supergen ORE Hub Annual Assembly on 15 April 2025, in Manchester. As part of the panel “Policy and International Perspectives: Navigating the Path to Net Zero in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape,” Inès will present the work being done under the MARINEWIND project and its impact on the national and international Net Zero landscape – with a special focus on policy innovation for offshore renewables. 📣 Have you already explored the #MARINEWIND WebGIS? Have a look at https://lnkd.in/dgsEEkeu 👉 The MARINEWIND Web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) is a multifunctional open tool that provides the various stakeholders with data and available information on #Floating Offshore Wind (FOW) for the five Labs of the project - Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the UK - to shape more informed #RES policies and promote a better understanding of FOW by local communities. COUNTRY HIGHLIGHT: ITALY 🔍 Today we’re taking a closer look at offshore wind project locations along the Italian coast that have applied for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). Over the past few years, the steady rise in EIA applications reflects the increasing interest of operators in this sector.
