    Kit’s most underutilized feature:

Last week I had the pleasure of attending Kit's all-team meeting as my role as Kit Ambassador + power user. During my breakout session with engineers, the first question I was asked was "What Kit feature do you think is underused?" Without a beat - in fact, I think I answered before the person even finished asking the question! - I answered "Liquid". Seriously, Liquid, or Kit's built-in personalization feature is friggin amazing....and the vast majority of Kit users have no idea it even exists. 🙀 I know because I see how many eyes grow wide when I mention it. You can almost see the gears turning in their head as their faces light up with the possibilities. In short, Liquid allows subscribers to see *different* messages in the *same* broadcast or sequence based on how they're tagged or what custom fields they have. I've supported a few fellow Kit users with getting started with Kit during Power Hours, and for awhile now I've been thinking about doing a paid workshop for Kit users on getting started with Liquid. Is this something you'd be interested in?

Excited to welcome Nate Davis to Kit as a Creator Sales Representative on the Ads team.  After two years as a contractor where he helped shape the Ads team from the ground up, Nate joins us full-time to scale Kit Ads and help more creators build more valuable businesses. Beyond his professional talents, he's a board game enthusiast, an avid reader, and an Austin, TX native who loves lake surfing but dreams of ocean waves. Great to have you as a full-time member of the team Nate.

Creator Experiences + Events Program Manager

Last September, I flew to London for a first-time led by Gabriel Nussbaum + Aydan Al-Saad 👏. Considering my job, I have really high standards for events and experiences—and this one hit on so many levels. There were ice baths, saunas, hot seats, and fireside chats. In short: a very different experience than most events I attend. Immediately after an ice bath (yes, still in my robe), I watched the final keynote: Chris Donnelly. To be totally transparent, despite Chris being a successful creator and a customer, I hadn’t come across his content before. But within five minutes of hearing him speak, I knew I’d find a way to get him on the Craft + Commerce stage. Chris built and sold a luxury marketing agency (Verb Brands) before he turned 30. Then co-founded Lottie, now valued at £125M. He’s grown his LinkedIn from 35K to nearly a million followers in two years. Now he runs The Creator Accelerator, helping founders and execs turn their expertise into scalable brands and revenue. While all of that is impressive, those aren’t the reasons I wanted him on stage. The next day, Chris stuck around for a hot seat mastermind and poured into every single creator who volunteered. He didn’t have to do that—he was there for a fireside chat. But he popped over and just started dropping knowledge that only someone who’s actually done it can share. Each creator got what felt like a $5,000 consulting session—in five minutes. (It left me wondering what the value must be inside his accelerator.) This is the culture of Craft + Commerce. These are the types of creators we want in the room. The ones who share. Who teach. Who don’t gatekeep. We know how important LinkedIn is becoming for professional creators, and there is literally no one better to teach it than Chris. Have you attended C+C before? If so, drop something you learned (and actually applied) to your business from a speaker. I’d love to hear it. And if you have not already bought your ticket ask me why you should attend and I will both convince you (based on your unique business) and give you a coupon code that only I can give haha. This will be a fun game! Craft + Commerce is happening June 11–14 in Boise. Come hang out with me! 🎟 kit.com/conference p.p.s. I knew he good from my own experience but an endorsement from Sahil Bloom really reinforced what I already knew to be true. Can't wait for y'all to learn from Chris.

Imagine a friend who has a high-end audio and video studio telling you, “Sure, come on over and use it.” That’s the premise behind Kit Studios, which opened their Chicago location last night (Boise opened last June, NYC in the works). It was a fun evening to check out the impressive studios — 3-camera setups, huge monitors, premiere audio, comfy and professional sets (complete with Chicago-themed decor). The studios are free to use for all Kit creators on their Creator or Creator Pro plans. The high ceilings in the industrial building on Chicago’s Goose Island create an airy space. Kit CEO Nathan Barry said they learned some things from setting up their original Boise space — like all cameras and lighting are hung from the ceiling, so no tripods to trip over. The setups immediately inspire the imagination about possibilities. Podcasts? Remote hosting? Filming courses? Joint projects when colleagues visit Chicago? Plus, an IRL gathering of online friends is always a treat. Great to see Caleb Dempsey, Katie Fawkes, Doc Rock, Lisa Weiss. Congrats to Nathan, Haley Janicek and the rest of the Kit team for putting on a fun event, and bringing this creative resource to Chicago. Can’t wait to see what comes out of these studios!

Executive Assistant to CEO @ Kit

I am thrilled and proud to share that I have started a new role as the Executive Assistant to the CEO (Nathan Barry) at Kit! I first heard about Kit from co-worker and friend Haley Janicek, and it always seemed like an incredible place to work. The culture, the values, the product, the people—it is everything I didn't know I was looking for. So, when this role opened up that was directly aligned with my background and goals, I knew immediately that it was meant to be. Looking forward to what's ahead, and sharing more about all of the exciting things in the works here at Kit!
