Did you get a chance to listen to Darshan Shah on Lauryn Bosstick & Michael Bosstick's podcast, The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show? As CEO of NEXT|HEALTH, Darshan sparks a great conversation around the importance of getting your basic pillars of metabolic health in order before trying to explore a complicated health and wellness routine. Lauryn called out that she's "petrified" of CGMs - and she's not alone. We've heard many times that people are skeptical of sticking the device on their arm or wearing it for an extended amount of time. Lauryn will be happy to know the January App allows you to avoid CGMs all together - and still get the benefit of seeing your glucose predictions. With our AI technology, we'll show you how a food will impact your blood sugar to inform your habits or help you decide what foods to eat ahead of time. Comment below if you are (or were) hesitant about wearing a CGM! #JanuaryAI #metabolichealth #CGM #SkinnyConfidential #DearMedia Dear Media https://lnkd.in/g9G2nfTz

Excited to share my bylined piece in the March issue of Entrepreneur Media "How to Attract the Best Talent." Startups can’t always match the salaries and perks of industry giants like OpenAI or Google. So, how do you attract the best people? For me, the answer was simple: focus on mission-driven hiring. When we launched January AI, we struggled to hire AI engineers. Many were drawn to high-profile projects with broad appeal. But instead of chasing those candidates, we shifted our focus to people who personally connected with our mission—preventing chronic diseases like diabetes. Here’s what worked: - Tapping into networks – Aggressive referrals and outreach to universities and trade groups helped us find like-minded candidates. - Looking beyond the résumé – We sought engineers with personal experiences with chronic health conditions, making their work meaningful. - Keeping a hiring journal – Reflecting on each interview helped to identify the most aligned and passionate individuals. The result? A highly engaged team of engineers who care deeply about our mission. Hiring this way takes longer. Many candidates will overlook you. But if you find the people who want to build with you, not just work for you, that’s when meaningful breakthroughs happen. #Leadership #Hiring #AI4good #TalentAcquisition #Startups #MissionDriven #CompanyCulture

For decades, food innovation meant mass production and convenience. Now, a new wave of AI, biotechnology, and real-time health data is redefining how we eat. The numbers show a major shift: 📈 The personalized nutrition industry is set to hit $37.3 billion by 2030, growing at 15% CAGR (Straits Research). 💡 Over 50% of consumers want food tailored to their health, and 75% would pay more for it (Nielsen). What’s driving this shift? Three game-changing trends: 🔹 AI-Powered Insights – At January, we're predicting glucose responses and Gatorade bolt now has a hydration coach... AI is making nutrition personal. 🔹 The Gut-Health Revolution – Demand for probiotics, prebiotics, and fermented foods is soaring. Dutchie’s "Love Your Gut" campaign led to a 102% increase in Gen Z yogurt consumption and $6.48M in sales growth. 🔹 Gene-Edited Foods – CRISPR Therapeutics is shaping the next generation of nutrient-rich, climate-resilient foods. Pairwise , in partnership with Bayer, is scaling 10 gene-edited crops to improve nutrition and sustainability. We couldn't be more proud to build technology that empowers consumers with real-time, science-backed insights into how food affects their bodies. The future of food isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s personal, data-driven, and optimized for health. Thank you to The Drum and Jennifer Olliges for the coverage on this topic!
