We want to know where you’re showing up this year! Drop it in the comments and dive into our blueprint for business of coaching read from a few that have started as coaches themselves 💪💚🔥
While there’s no perfect path to success in the business of coaching, there are a few universal practices I’ve found to hold true. Mine was a windy road with a lot of sharp turns along the way 😬 It takes more than the passion that initiates your career…it takes strategy, connection, and consistent action. Coach360 gathered insights from industry pros who’ve started on the gym floor and evolved their careers from there. My favorite? ✅ Show up—in person. I’ve learned over the years that some of the biggest opportunities come from simply being in the room. Industry events offer a level of connection and conversation that virtual spaces just can’t replicate. Break 🥖, do the workouts, and attend the after-hours networking events. These connections are the key to true connection and career-long relationships/friendships. 🤝 “Insert yourself and ask for what you want.” Maria Gonzalez CEO of ClubFitness Greensboro, swears by direct networking. Don’t wait—introduce yourself, express your goals, and follow up. 🌟 “Find mentors who complement your weaknesses.” Jack Thomas CEO of The Fit Guide says growth accelerates when you learn from those strong where you’re not—especially in marketing, branding, or operations. 🏅 Take action to build credibility. Apply for awards (don’t pay for them!), advance your education, and other forms of merit-based recognition to showcase your skills and expertise. Programs like Coach360’s “Coach of the Year” help set you apart and earn industry/community trust. 🌐 Lean into community. Coach360’s WhatsApp group offers a space for real talk. Share challenges, wins, events you’re attending, and stay current through peer support. 🧠 “Adopt the entrepreneurial mindset.” Corey Calliet, celebrity trainer, puts it plainly: “If you don’t believe in yourself, go get a job.” Entrepreneurs must lead with confidence, take ownership, and keep learning to stay ahead. Whether you're launching or scaling your coaching business, these strategies lay the foundation for long-term success.
