Our latest study, supported by #RobinHoodFoundation and published in the #InternationalJournalonHomelessness (#IJOH), evaluates #HELPUSA’s New Beginnings program, a #homelessness prevention initiative tailored for parenting youth within NYC's #Homebase housing program. Key Findings: Significant Reduction in Shelter Entries: New Beginnings slowed shelter entries in the nine months post-Homebase completion. Improved Service Access & Employment: The intervention enhanced childcare, healthcare, employment opportunities, and household income levels. Effective Engagement: Smaller caseloads and frequent client engagement facilitated better outcomes. This research highlights the promise of time-sensitive and flexible responses recommended by the #criticaltimeintervention (CTI) service delivery model in preventing homelessness among at-risk parenting youth. The results are in…and published! Read how with grant funds from The Robin Hood Foundation, HELP USA's implementation of the Critical Time Intervention (CTI) model of service delivery was effective in preventing homelessness among at-risk parents under the age of 25. These findings are helping shape CTI programs for over 200 hundred formerly homeless single adults in our supportive housing apartments in The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Who else is using CTI, and what results are you seeing?
