Happy Earth Month! As part of Hobbs Brook Real Estate’s commitment to a sustainable future, we are excited to continue our partnership with Green City Growers. Green City Growers installs and maintains three produce gardens at our Edge and Waltham Campuses! We are proud to share that last year, these gardens produced nearly 500 pounds of produce. This produce was used in our cafeterias, enjoyed by tenants who participated in the harvest, and donated to local food drives!   This initiative has been a huge success, offering our tenants a fun, healthy, and stress-relieving activity while also supporting our community and promoting environmental sustainability.   Thank you to Green City Growers for your agricultural expertise, and thank you to all of our tenants who participated in the harvest! We recently partnered with Grobrix USA to install hydroponic grow towers in our Somerville, MA office. 🌿 Every 4 weeks, employees get the chance to harvest, learn, and take home delicious greens—while gaining insights into urban farming, hydroponics, and the importance of reducing food miles. A huge thank you to our partner farmers from Green City Growers for their guidance and expertise! We are thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotion and new responsibilities of two exceptional team members at Green City Growers: 🌟 Mya Neary – Horticulture Manager 🌟 Madeline Devin – Promoted to Urban Farmer Manager Mya will support our farmers through plant procurement, propagation, and managing our returning farmers. Mattie will work with our Horticulture and Education departments to continue improving our farmer training and will manage our new farmers. They will continue to support our farmers and work towards our company goal of creating inspiring shared experiences through beautiful and productive gardens.
