At Fervo, one of our core values is Build Things That Last—and that extends beyond our power plants. We’re committed to supporting the long-term strength of the communities we serve, which includes engaging with local schools to expand education on geothermal energy. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting nearly 100 students from Milford High School and Beaver High School in #BeaverCountyUT for a geothermal education day. Fervo employees from across departments set up interactive stations at Milford High to introduce students to geothermal energy, answer questions, and share what it’s like to work in clean energy. We were also joined by Southern Utah University, who shared information about our new geothermal apprenticeship program—an initiative that combines on-the-job training and college-level instruction to launch careers in geothermal energy. Students also had the chance to tour our Cape Station project, where they saw firsthand how enhanced geothermal drilling and power generation work. We were absolutely blown away by the students’ curiosity, knowledge, and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to the teachers, administrators, and students at MHS and BHS for making this such a meaningful day, and to our Fervo team and the SUU team for helping inspire the next generation of energy innovators. Curious what a career in geothermal could look like? Come build with us: https://lnkd.in/gy5Y8kuE #geothermal #cleanenergy #futureleaders #community #STEMeducation

Last week, Fervo brought the heat to CERAWeek in our hometown of Houston! 🔥 Geothermal had its moment in the spotlight, and it’s clear the momentum is only building. Some of our favorite moments from the week: ⚡Tim Latimer, Fervo's CEO and co-founder, joined two dynamic panels, highlighting real-world geothermal success stories and the rapid growth of cutting-edge geothermal solutions. ⚡Quinn Woodard Jr., Fervo's Sr. Director of Power Generation & Surface Facilities, delivered a standing-room-only Agora Pod presentation, where he laid out how Fervo is accelerating project timelines. Our approach? Modular, repeatable power plant design that’s already proving its speed—Cape Phase I is on track for 2026, and Phase II will deliver from “spud to sale” in just 18 months. ⚡The conversation around AI, data centers, and clean firm power is reaching new levels, and geothermal is right at the center of it. At the Executive Conference’s opening plenary, geothermal received a record-breaking three mentions from some of the most influential voices in energy and technology—Chris Wright, Mike Wirth, and Ruth Porat. And instead of a typical networking event, we took things outside—co-hosting a 5K walk/run with over 60 attendees! Because big ideas deserve fresh air. The biggest takeaway? Geothermal isn’t an “emerging” technology—it’s here, scaling fast, and ready to deliver firm, clean power when it’s needed most. Let’s keep the momentum going! #GeothermalEnergy #CleanEnergy #AI #DataCenters #Innovation #CERAWeek

Geothermal is scaling faster than ever—and new research shows why it’s poised to power the AI era. A recent paper co-authored by Fervo's CTO and co-founder, Jack Norbeck, alongside leading experts from Stanford University and Berkeley Lab, explores how Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) are providing firm, around-the-clock power—exactly what’s needed as electricity demand surges. Published in 𝑁𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑠 𝐶𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑇𝑒𝑐ℎ𝑛𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑦, the paper highlights how advancements in drilling and subsurface technology are unlocking geothermal’s full potential. Key findings: 🔹 Geothermal is scaling to much larger projects, with innovations like polycrystalline diamond compact bits, multiwell drilling pads, and horizontal drilling driving down costs and enabling gigawatt-scale development. 🔹 EGS expands geothermal’s reach by enhancing subsurface permeability, allowing for energy production in areas that were previously inaccessible. 🔹 Innovations learned from the oil and gas industry are driving faster project development and accelerating geothermal’s commercialization. As AI, cloud computing, and electrification push energy demand to new heights, EGS is emerging as a critical solution for clean, firm power. Reliable, 24/7 clean energy requires smart innovation—and strategic financing. Last fall an X-Caliber Rural Capital affiliate closed a $100M construction loan to support Cape Station, the world’s largest next-generation geothermal project. This financing is accelerating deployment, reducing costs, and ensuring that firm, carbon-free power reaches the grid faster. As electricity demand surges—driven by AI, data centers, and electrification—scaling geothermal has never been more critical. We appreciate X-Caliber Rural Capital’s support in advancing Cape Station. Watch the video to hear from Fervo CEO and co-founder Tim Latimer and the XRC team on why this project is a milestone for clean energy. #Geothermal #CleanEnergy #FirmPower #EnergyInnovation #InnovativeFinancing Chris Callahan Jordan Blanchard Nash Stapleton Bonnie Habyan Bucki Rogers

The Women in Geothermal WING USA Chapter EmpowHER event in Houston brought together a fantastic group of geothermal supporters, and we had an incredible time connecting and sharing insights. A highlight of the evening was the fireside chat moderated by Mary Dhillon, featuring Fervo’s own Dawn OWENS, Emma McConville, MSc., and Kathryn Briggs. Their discussion covered everything from leadership and innovation to the future of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS). Key takeaways included: 🔹 Empower your team to take risks and experiment 🔹 Innovation is a challenge worth tackling—if it were easy, it wouldn’t be fun 🔹 Knowing how to manage uncertainty and risk is key to achieving breakthroughs 🔹 EGS is the solution for data centers—scalable, reliable, and firm 🔹 Leveraging AI can free up time for teams to focus on creativity and innovation 🔹 Celebrate wins—both individual and team successes 🔹 Use strategic optionality to position yourself for success—whether it’s plan A or plan Z It was inspiring to hear these insights and see such strong enthusiasm for geothermal energy. Excited to keep these conversations going and push the industry forward. #WING #WomenInGeothermal #GeothermalEnergy #CleanEnergy #Innovation #EGS #Leadership
