About us
Our organization is run mainly by volunteers and all of our pets are housed by dedicated foster families throughout North Texas. We rescue and help the healthy and treatable animals at greatest risk for euthanasia at our partner shelters. We also provide assistance and resources to pet owners having problems so significant that they need to surrender their pets to a shelter. We are challenging the way our community views rescue animals. Adoption is not only the right thing to do but THE thing to do! 🎉 I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially graduated from the D CEO Emerging Women’s Leadership Network! This experience has been an incredible journey of growth, both personally and professionally. From thought-provoking discussions to hands-on learning opportunities, I’ve gained invaluable insights that will stay with me throughout my career. One of the most rewarding aspects has been the connections I’ve made with other inspiring women leaders. I’m especially grateful to my mentor, Jessica McBride Dunn whose guidance, wisdom, and encouragement have made a lasting impact. This week we had the pleasure of attending DISTRIBUTECH to occupy the Barks & Brews booth. Thanks to United Grid Solutions, who generously sponsored the construction of our adoption pen, conference-goers got to take a break from energy talks to enjoy some puppy cuddles. 🐾 This event saw around 20,000 attendees at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas and gave our pups a chance to meet their future families and spread awareness about animal welfare. DFW Pets Are Family made a HUGE impact! At our latest event, alongside CUDDLY, Spay Neuter Network, Operation Kindness, SPCA of Texas, Dallas Animal Services , City of Garland, Petco Love, Banfield Foundation, GoodPup (PetCareNow, Inc), and The Love Pit, we served 654 pets, providing 1,023 vaccines, 279 microchips, and 11,000 lbs of pet food to keep pets healthy and with their families. These events are life-changing for pet owners like Eddie, who not only ensures his beloved pets get the care they need but also jumps in to help make the event run smoothly.
