Operation Kindness, Hearts & Bones Animal Rescue, Humane Society of North Texas, Rockwall Pets and the SPCA of Texas accounted for 53% of all dog and cat transfers from Dallas Animal Services & Adoption Center in 2024. 💓 We are so thrilled to be a part of these amazing collaborations and continue to stay true to our commitment to helping more animals across Dallas.

We are thrilled to have our CEO, Ed Jamison, speaking at the upcoming Best Friends National Conference! Ed will be presenting To the Rescue: Empowering Field Officers to Lead Lifesaving Efforts. Animal shelters have a unique opportunity to expand their lifesaving efforts through strategic use of shelter field services and officer involvement. Attendees will learn innovative ways to harness the potential of field service officers as essential contributors to lifesaving programs. We will explore how officers can play a pivotal role in community engagement, proactive animal welfare interventions, and strengthening partnerships with local resources. You'll leave knowing how to enhance collaboration between field officers and shelter operations to increase the number of lives saved. We can't wait to see you all in Palm Springs!

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! 🛠 Operation Kindness is a pioneer in Texas for assisting animals in need of veterinary care, companionship and most of all, a home. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine, scheduled, and unscheduled semi-skilled maintenance for facilities; ensures that facilities and equipment are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and electrical work. Operates a variety of maintenance tools and equipment; and performs related work as required. This is a full time 40 hours a week position. Drivers License is required. We offer a competitive salary with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403b plan, generous PTO, paid holidays and more! As we begin 2025, it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect back on 2024 and all of the incredible things you made possible for the animals. 🐶 😺 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣2024 paved the way for major growth at Operation Kindness. We opened our Lifesaving Partnerships Hub, surpassed 1,000 animal transfers from Dallas Animal Services and helped community pets with our mobile veterinary unit.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Heading into 2025, we’ll be working harder than ever to make the world a kinder place for pets and the people who love them. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Thanks to your support, there’s no stopping us as we ensure that animals get lifesaving medical care, food to eat and loving homes this year.
