Our partner, KIPP DC, recently honored the Clark Foundation for supporting their mission to create a future without limits for students in the Washington, DC area.    KIPP DC continues to open doors and expand education opportunities for students from all backgrounds. We proudly invest in these programs to help ensure KIPP DC students and alumni have the resources to succeed in college, careers, and beyond. 

College Signing Day is here—and we’re thrilled to celebrate the many incredible DC students taking the next step in their academic journeys! Today, on World Health Day, we’re highlighting the critical work of our Parent-Child Health Initiative (PCHI).    Through collaboration with DC-area hospitals, community health organizations, and wraparound partners, our investments in maternal health are both wide-reaching and deeply rooted—focusing not only on clinical care but also on a full spectrum of supports that work together to improve outcomes for moms, babies, and families across DC.    Since launching PCHI in 2020, the Clark Foundation has committed more than $128 million—all with the goal of ensuring that one day, everyone has access to the same high-quality health care choices.    Watch to learn more below. Since 2016, the Clark Foundation has proudly committed over $161 million to organizations supporting post-9/11 veterans and their families.  Our founder, Mr. Clark, held the utmost respect for those who served our country. We honor his legacy by investing in veteran-serving organizations that help veterans build meaningful careers, access quality healthcare, strengthen their families, and find connection and purpose in their communities.    In the final year of our more than $1.3 billion spend down, we thank our trusted grantee partners for their efforts and impact, laying the foundations for veterans and their families to have thriving futures. Clark Scholars at the University of Pennsylvania are getting ahead this Spring with events and workshops to connect them with future engineering opportunities.     Last month, UPenn hosted a series of events with faculty and alumni to equip scholars with tools to advance their academic journeys. Over the last five years, our partner, Community of Hope (CoH), has expanded its transformational maternal health services, connecting more mothers and babies in the Washington, DC area with the comprehensive and holistic care they deserve.     The A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation recently committed $4 million to help expand this critical work and extend the reach of CoH's innovative maternal and postpartum care model. With additional investments made by The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation and The Bedford Falls Foundation, CoH will have a total of $5.5 million to ensure the sustainability of their innovative model. Our collective commitment will continue to ensure mothers have access to ultrasounds at all health centers, introduce high-risk obstetric services in Ward 8, and maintain perinatal care coordination across the board.   Learn more about CoH’s work and this commitment below.  https://lnkd.in/gayVjaCD
