As part of our ongoing commitment to advancing reliable and resilient energy storage, we’ve successfully shipped Cache’s fully charged energy storage material to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, where it has been exposed to extreme winter conditions, with temperatures plunging as low as -40°C for the past six months. What’s particularly remarkable is that this material has been stored in a standard, off-the-shelf container, with no additional insulation. This real-world test underscores our capability to store energy inter-seasonally, even under some of the harshest conditions on Earth. At Cache, we are driven by a commitment to simplicity, reliability, and resiliency of our energy storage solution. #CacheEnergy #Reliability #Resilience

What if there were a way to harness wind and solar power that was as easy to transport and store as coal? That's what Cache Energy is promising. Founder Arpit Dwivedi gave me an exclusive look at the company's technology, which is pretty clever. By forming a common, cheap compound into just-so sized pellets, Cache hopes to displace the dirty fossil fuel and enable truly long-duration energy storage.

Day 3 of 3 in our MN Cleantech Innovation Summit - pitch day!!! There are dozens of phenomenal moments from today, but let's hit the highlights... 💡 This was our first time hosting our Grid Catalyst cohort finalists to pitch in person and it was absolutely tremendous to hear all 9 share their innovations and answer tough questions from the Innovators Network. If you haven't met our 9 finalists yet, please go check them out. All have the potential to be transformative if deployed in Minnesota. https://lnkd.in/gU-_2T6t 💡 We spent the afternoon making connections, exploring projects, and touring the St. Thomas Center for Microgrid Research (CMR). A tremendous thanks to Mahmoud Kabalan, PhD, PE and the team at CMR for hosting us today and giving us an inside peek into this internationally-significant facility, right in the heart of Saint Paul. Thanks to Emmett V. Coleman for helping us bring this together at St. Thomas. And thank you again to Full Stack Saint Paul for sponsoring today's event. 💡One startup told me "You have really opened my eyes to how much opportunity there is in Minnesota." And that's one of the best things we can hear! 🙏 And even though it was post-Summit, I have to acknowledge how lovely it was to spend the morning with emerging companies and entrepreneurs and the evening honoring the incredible work of my former boss, Ken Smith, at the Most Admired CEOs dinner. But more about that tomorrow! Thanks again to all the wonderful people who joined us for some part of the Summit, who helped us bring hundreds of people into conversation and partnership this week, who sponsored or supported us, and who are helping us grow this incredible cleantech innovation ecosystem. We are in this together and great things are ahead! #AccelerateNorth #MNCleantechSummit #energy #cleantech #climate #impact #innovation #startups #entrepreneurs #community #Minnesota #MinnesotaEnergyAlley

There are few companies we've invested in that have as much impact potential as Cache Energy. Although the company is early stage, it's already demonstrated its ability to generate low-cost renewable heat and energy storage, in a way that could rapidly displace fossil fuels. Cache founder Arpit Dwivedi calls it "coal without consequences." Congratulations Arpit Dwivedi and Cache Energy team on the announcement of your product and capital raise. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this company.
Cache Energy just announced its groundbreaking product to replace fossil fuels and provide a pathway to seasonal long duration energy storage at scale. MUUS Climate Partners first invested alongside The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment in early 2023, and we're thrilled to see groups like Cantos and Voyager Ventures back the company. Congratulations to Arpit Dwivedi and team on this announcement. Check out this article in TechCrunch to learn more about "coal without consequences." https://lnkd.in/dXTVtwJC

We're delighted to announce Voyager's investment in Cache Energy and the team's emergence from stealth. Cache's proprietary energy storage technology uses simple and elegant chemistry to store and release heat up to 550°C, serving most industrial and residential needs, even across seasons. Cache Energy's innovation is an affordable, modular approach to decarbonizing heat production and we're honored to support founder and CEO Arpit Dwivedi as he scales. Cheers to Tim De Chant and TechCrunch for breaking the story! https://lnkd.in/gYT4tqKb

I only write a blog post every year or two when I feel like I have something somewhat unique and important to say. I'd been gearing up to write one on "lean deep tech" but one of our portfolio founders who inspired the topic beat me to it. Hear it straight from Arpit Dwivedi at Cache Energy. https://lnkd.in/guj78_zK
