A wonderful first day of the Eastern Nursing Research Society Conference in Philadelphia, PA. I had the opportunity to share my DNP work - “Developing Ethical Awareness and Decreasing Moral Distress in ICU Nurse Residents: An Educational Program” during one of the poster sessions. None of this would have been possible without the support and assistance of co-authors, Drs. Pam Grace, Aimee Milliken PhD, RN, HEC-C , and Catherine Conahan (Flaherty). Another big thank you to Chelsae Conners for allowing me the opportunity to cultivate this work in the Medical ICU at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. “We all leaned into the unknown. I describe it as ‘I walked into a class full of strangers at the beginning of the semester, but I’m leaving it bonded to people in a way I could not have imagined.’” -CSON senior, Johany Jeune https://bit.ly/4l8siGx

Great work, Gaelyn Grant! Congrats!
It was an honor and a joy to attend the Ethics of Caring - National Nursing Ethics Conference this past Thursday and Friday at UCLA, where I delivered a flash presentation and poster on “Reconceptualizing Moral Community - A narrative review of the literature”. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Dr. Aimee Milliken PhD, RN, HEC-C on this project over the past semester as an undergraduate research fellow. I can’t emphasize enough the impact of being in community with such a brilliant, passionate, and supportive network of professionals who leave me all the more eager for my future in nursing and clinical ethics. Thank you to all who made this year’s conference such a success. My gratitude extends especially to Dr. Milliken for her continued mentorship and wisdom which made this project possible. In addition, I owe special thanks to the generosity of Linda Tigert RN MSN’s Early Career Scholarship. I’m looking forward to future research for the cultivation of ethically aware and empowered nursing practice!
