For professionals in the automotive sector, understanding if AI is right for your business is already a challenge. To then implement AI effectively, there are a few burning questions that need to be answered: ⚖️ what is the potential, and what are the limitations of AI? 🛠️ how can I prepare for successful change management? 💵 what does the funding landscape for AI look like? 🚙 what’s the future of AI in the automotive industry? Trying to figure all of this out can be complex due to the overwhelming number of possibilities, potentials and promises from different sources. To address this, we hosted “An Introduction to AI for SMEs” today with the Northern Automotive Alliance. This provided the opportunity for professionals in the automotive industry to come together with experts to answer these questions, and collaboratively discuss industry challenges and concerns of those who want to support the growth of their organisation through digital adoption. “People think you have to be from a large company to afford AI and that it will cost millions of pounds of investment, but we wanted to demonstrate today that there are absolutely ways to utilise low-cost AI in your business to boost productivity. ⏩ We are moving forward with our efforts on climate resilience! ⛈️🌪️ 🤝 In collaboration with research centres and the utility sector, we have been working to strengthen UK’s preparedness against extreme weather through digital twinning and data sharing across the utility sector. 🖥️ Our work has now advanced into the next phase - the CReDO+ (Climate Resilience Decision Optimiser) project. Moving forward, we will be enhancing the accessibility of digital twin technology to more regions and sectors.
