Aman Gour, Sashank Gondala, Ben Grosser 👏 Venteur, a startup offering personalised health insurance options to companies for their employees, has raised $20 million in Series A funding. This round was led by Informed Ventures and American Family Ventures, along with participation from Morgan Health, Ingeborg Investments, Catalyst by Wellstar, Plug and Play, Revelry Venture Partners, Houghton Street Ventures, and Techstars. Stacy Edgar, Timothy Edgar 👏ICEN Risk, a company specialising in insuring mergers and acquisitions, has welcomed Zurich Insurance as a strategic investor to help fuel their next phase of growth. Dawn Bhoma, Robert Brown 👏XN Captive, a start-up focused on helping businesses form and operate captive insurance companies, has raised $11.5 million in equity offerings. Gabriel Weiss, Sam Espinosa, Rachel Jenkins 👏Silna, a start-up using AI to automate prior authorisations, benefit checks, and insurance verification, has raised $22 million in Series A funding.  This round was led by Accel and Bain Capital Ventures. Jeffrey Morelli, Sagar Jajoo, Pavel Asparouhov 👏Foliume, a start-up in AI-driven insurance automation, has raised $1 million in seed funding led by Pitchdrive and Wayra. Martin Fagioli, Guillermo Vergara Ferrari 👏Lucid Insurance, a Nebraska-based MGA and specialty wholesale broker, has raised $295,000 in equity as part of a $500,000 offering. Nirvana Insurance who are leveraging data to revolutionize commercial fleet insurance have raised an $80 million Series C, led by General Catalyst with support from existing investors Lightspeed and Valor Equity Partners. Founded by Rushil G. Abhay Mitra Alex Carges Insurevision.ai who have built an AI system that can analyse real-time video from standard car cameras and assess risk based on the full driving situation have secured $2.7million in seed funding, backed by State Farm ventures, Rethink Ventures and Twin Path Ventures and founded by Mark Miller. Outmarket AI, who are building the Intelligence Layer for Commercial Insurance, empowering brokers, MGAs, and wholesalers with AI-powered insights and automation, raised a $4.7m seed round from Fika Ventures, TTV Capital, Dash Fund and Everywhere Ventures. Founded by Anshu Jain, Vishal Sankhla. Norm Ai, a compliance AI platform, has secured $48 million in a recent round which takes their capital raised to $87 million in last 18 months! Led by Coatue, with participation from Craft Ventures, Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, New York Life Ventures, Citi Ventures, TIAA Ventures, and Marc Benioff. Dinshaw, and Kaivan Wadia who had the mission of transforming commercial insurance with cutting-edge technology. 💡 Product spotlight 💡 Yurtle, introduces new insurance product ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ Yurtle a London-based insurance startup offering a care management platform, has introduced Protect+, which provides cash support to parents and carers in different scenarios. The new coverage was developed with carrier Convex Insurance and broker Price Forbes. As part of the offering, cash support will be provided when: A dependent is discharged from hospital and care is required pending an assessment or provision of support by the local authority; Regular social care is interrupted for any reason, for example due to staff shortages or illness of the carer; A child up to the age of 15 is ill and unable to attend nursery or school, or A nursery is permanently closed and an alternative solution needs to be found. Founded in 2020, Yurtle raised last year £1.37 million. Its platform includes educational resources, assistance in finding back up care, and caregiver insurance underwritten by Starr International. “This is an exciting innovation that will allow employers to address absence while better supporting carers in their workforce when they need help the most. Care breakdowns are very common – four out of five people caring for an adult have experienced one that has impacted their ability to work. These unplanned absences can be extremely stressful for the carer and not only affect their work, but that of those they work with, impacting productivity and profitability.
