How can the UK reduce energy bills by 2030? Energy bills are set to rise by another £111 from April 2025. This comes after several increases already this year, putting more pressure on households across the UK. Energy UK has just released a report outlining how we can bring bills down by 2030, focusing on three key areas: 1. Maximising household flexibility (using energy when it's cheapest) 2. Implementing an ambitious Warm Homes Plan 3. Rebalancing policy costs between electricity and gas These approaches work together brilliantly: ✅ Heat pumps and other green tech from the Warm Homes Plan would make households naturally more flexible ✅ Shifting policy costs from electricity to gas makes low-carbon tech more affordable ✅ Households with heatpumps and other green tech can then save by using energy when it's cheapest While Energy UK suggests flexible households could save £115 annually, our customers are actually saving around 30% on average by switching to smart tariffs! The best part? Even if only some households become more flexible, everyone benefits from a more efficient, lower-cost energy system - with less need for expensive infrastructure upgrades. #EnergySavings #NetZero #SmartEnergy #RenewableFuture #ClimateAction #SmartShift

🔥 Heat pumps are entering the mainstream - and rightly so! 🔥 2025 could be the year heat pumps truly enter the mainstream. Recent BBC reporting shows a remarkable 52% increase in installation rates compared to last year, with approximately 100,000 units sold. While the £7,500 government subsidy is certainly driving adoption, increased consumer awareness and a maturing installation sector are equally important factors. Heat pumps are engineering marvels: using just one unit of electricity, they collect and concentrate 3-4 units of heat from the ambient environment, making them incredibly efficient and essential for achieving net zero targets. If you're still relying on an old boiler or traditional electric heating, our recommendation is simple: be proactive. Scope out and invest in a heat pump during the warmer months to avoid a winter emergency. 🔍 Take time to research qualified installers to ensure quality installation. With spring arriving and warmer weather on the horizon, now is the perfect time to explore this upgrade – one that virtually all homes will need to make in the next 25 years. Discover why now is the ideal time to upgrade to a heat pump in our latest insight article: https://lnkd.in/e5qCTQ9N #HeatPumps #RenewableEnergy #NetZero #EnergyEfficiency #ClimateAction #Sustainability #HomeImprovement #GreenTechnology

📊 Gas Prices: The £3,000 Burden on UK Households 🏡💡 Gas prices have added 7x more to bills than renewables over the last four years! 🤯 The energy crisis has hit our wallets hard, with wholesale gas costs translating to a £3,000 surcharge on the average energy bill – that's £750 per year! These figures are based on analysis by the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit. While renewable energy support remains steady, our dependence on imported gas continues to hit household budgets. The persistent "spark gap" – where electricity costs four times more per kWh than gas – highlights a critical challenge in our energy market. 🌍 The time has come to reconsider how policy costs are distributed between electricity and gas bills. By shifting our approach, we can reduce reliance on volatile gas markets, make green technologies like heat pumps more affordable, and strengthen UK energy security. It's time to reimagine our energy landscape. A fairer system isn't just possible – it's essential for our economic and environmental future. 💚🔋 #EnergyTransition #CleanEnergy #UKEconomy #RenewablesAllTheWay #SmartShift
