History makers 🎉   Samson Executive Jet Centre, Newcastle Airport’s exclusive private jet facility, have made history by becoming the first UK winner of a top industry award!   The executive jet facility was crowned ‘Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Member of the Year' at the 2024 Paragon Aviation Group Awards in New Orleans, USA.    This is the first time an FBO outside of America has been awarded this prestigious accolade, recognising Samson for its world-class customer service, commitment to the highest safety standards and operational excellence.

📢 Introducing AirLink! We're delighted to unveil the new name of a major new cargo hub earmarked to be built at Your Airport. Spanning 750,000 sq ft, this state-of-the-art facility will serve as a vital hub for cargo operators, freight forwarders and ground handling agents. With the potential to create thousands of jobs and boost the North East economy by up to £165m a year, AirLink is set to drive growth and innovation in the region. £17m runway resurfacing project nears completion! 👷✈️ We were delighted to welcome Joe Morris MP and Emma Foody MP to Your Airport to meet the team behind this landmark project. 🔹 Five months of dedicated work 🔹 150 people and 100 vehicles working overnight, five nights a week 🔹 33,497 tonnes of materials being laid – covering an area the size of 22 football pitches 🔹 1,064 runway lights being upgraded to energy-efficient LEDs This investment is one of the largest in our history and will ensure we continue to provide vital connectivity for the region.
