On Tuesday 1 April 2025, the UK government launched the Clean Heat Market Mechanism (CHMM) to help accelerate the national transition to low-carbon heating, particularly through the adoption of heat pumps. It applies to your business if you meet both of the following criteria: 1. You manufacture, or have someone manufacture on your behalf, fossil fuel boilers or heat pumps. 2. You own the rights to a brand name, trademark, or other distinctive mark used to market fossil fuel boilers or heat pumps in the UK.
