What an achievement! Thanks to Centre for Homelessness Impact for leading the way on this programme, great to be able to step back and see what IFF Research has been part of over the last year 👇 Want to hear more about how it's been going? Ella Whelan, Clare Palmer and I are very excited to be presenting some early learnings from the trial of Individual Placement and Support at the UK Evaluation Society conference on the 19th May, 11.15-11.35 (online). We would love to see you there!
We're celebrating a big milestone as we reach the one year anniversary of Test & Learn's public launch, the groundbreaking programme commissioned by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Our Head of Programmes, Graeme Gardner, reflects on an incredible 12 months since we launched the first call out for evaluators. Since then, we've recruited six evaluators and one data collection partner, but we're also working alongside 54 delivery partners, 38 local authorities, 13 voluntary community and social enterprise organisations, and two companies, to support the delivery of the projects over 71 areas of England. Hundreds of people have been involved in the programme so far and we've seen that, across the homelessness sector and beyond, there is an appetite to try new approaches to support people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness, and a willingness to do this while undertaking robust evaluations to see whether they work. https://lnkd.in/ekMxETED

Last week's quarterly Friday Club at Gordon Ramsay's Street Pizza was an opportunity for the team to come together, celebrate our hard work and mark the end of another financial year. We know how important it is to take a moment to have a breather, unwind and have a good natter with fellow IFFers. It's a key part of our human-first culture. The team indulged in some retro fun with classic arcade games like Pac-Man and the Hoops Basketball machine, as well as having some friendly competition playing table football and 8-ball pool. And we had Pizza filling up our plates all afternoon🍕 #IFFLife #EndOfFinancialYear

It’s always great to see our people and teams get the spotlight they deserve for their efforts. Two of our IFFers, Samantha Morrisroe and Rob Irving, will be sharing what they believe led to our success for last year’s Market Research Society (MRS) Oppies Awards at an MRS networking event today. Sam will discuss leading a large remote team to deliver major UK telephone surveys and her involvement in EDI initiatives, which helped inform her approach to leading over 1000 team members. Rob will highlight how the Operations team’s focus on high-quality training, continuous learning, and robust support systems has driven record revenues and recruitment results. The Operations side of the business is the backbone of what we do. They enable us to deliver scale, in a flexible way that underpins so much of the impact that we make. #Operations #Leadership #Innovation #Awards #CaseStudy

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is global movement that seeks to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about neurodivergence. By encouraging more inclusive environments that celebrate differences, there’s wider recognition of the diverse skills and talents of neurodivergent people. It’s an awareness initiative that resonates with us at IFF, as one of our key principles is having a ‘human-first’ approach. We always want to make sure that our people feel they have the right setting needed to succeed and thrive. Whether that’s through our flexible working policy, wellbeing activities or accessibility support. Another of our other core values is ‘making a difference’. And we’re proud that we’ve been able to make a difference in the understanding of neurodivergence through our research. Our team is currently working on a project for GambleAware. We partnered with Amy Sweet, Tim Morris, PhD and Ara Recovery For All to explore the relationship between gambling harms and neurodivergence. The current findings from Phase 1 and 2 of the research have been published. Phase 1 examined insights from existing data and a longitudinal study, with Phase 2 expanding on this initial investigation through the use of in-depth interviews and a week-long online community. The next and final stage will look at co-designing the development of resources to improve treatment support – putting our research into real-world practice. ADE Research and partners have been selected on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the The Scottish Government to conduct groundbreaking research into the barriers in place to unlocking the full potential for heat recovery and use in heat networks. Capturing this heat and distributing it efficiently through heat networks will be crucial in reducing emissions from heating across the country, and may be critical in lowering the cost of living for towns and cities across the UK. Together with FairHeat, COWI and IFF Research, the project will result in detailed guidance to help heat network developers and recoverable heat owners to navigate the technological, economic and relationship challenges for heat-offtake provision, as well as a regulatory roadmap that describes the hoops that need to be jumped through, and how to jump through them. Businesses have a big part to play in the UK’s transition to net zero. Our research report, commissioned by Ofgem, looked at what businesses are saying about the energy market: their thoughts on energy costs, switching suppliers, and the strides they're making towards net zero and decarbonisation. The work has been referenced in an article by Utility Week on making substantial and meaningful improvements to energy use. 📖 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eU-FUSZc #NetZero #Sustainability #Energy #BusinessResearch #Decarbonisation
