A big #ThankYouThursday to Willerby Landscapes, where a team of four completed the half marathon at the Olympic Park, raising a staggering £2,935 in memory of Rick Davies who died at the Hospice in 2024. 💚 Rick was behind the success of the landscaping at the Olympic Park back in 2012, so this venue resonates deeply with many of the employees, family and friends of Willerby Landscapes. Well done, Team Willerby! 👏

This spring, you can celebrate the lives of loved ones by supporting our Meadow of Memories appeal. 🟢 Dedicate a handcrafted metal butterfly and honour the memory of those important to you in collective moments of reflection. Hundreds of butterflies will be displayed at National Trusts’ Scotney Castle from 17th to 26th May, offering a chance to pause and cherish memories. 🦋 Your butterfly will then be yours to keep, creating a lasting tribute of remembrance. Two years on from its launch and Hospice in the Weald for Children has plenty to be proud of! 😊 👨👩👧 Families receive care that’s tailored to them from the children’s team, who also host events throughout the year – marking Easter, the summer period and Christmas – at the Hospice in Pembury. Fiona Ashmore, Lead Children's Nurse, said: “I am really proud of the work that has been done over the past two years, providing much needed support for children, young people and their families." 👏 Our #ThankYouThursday goes to the Women in Harmony choir, who held a concert in memory of a wonderful lady, Barbara Ling... 🎶 Barbara was a volunteer at the Hospice for over 10 years before she died in December 2023. Pat Collins, Chairman of Women in Harmony, visited the Hospice with Barbara’s sister, Valerie Wood, to present us with a cheque for £1,120. Thank you, ladies! 😊
