"I'm taking part in the Bluebell Walk to raise money for Heart of Kent Hospice. My son James has brain cancer and I want to show my gratitude to the hospice team for everything they are doing for him and for us as a family. They are giving us peace of mind and the utter trust that they'll look after our boy." Clare' son James is just 27 and has recently been referred to the hospice. As a way of saying thank you Clare is taking on the Bluebell Walk and sharing her story to raise vital funds for the hospice. 🔗 Read Clare's story on our website: https://lnkd.in/ewN-a4Ci ❤️ Not able to attend our Bluebell Walk but still want to support the hospice? We are an independent charity providing expert care for people facing the challenge of a terminal illness.
About us
Every year, we care for over 1,800 patients and their loved ones, offering not just clinical care but also emotional, spiritual and social support in the Hospice and to people who are living with a terminal illness at home or in a care home. It costs £5 million a year to provide our services but less than 20% of our funding comes from the government, so we depend on the generosity of the people of our community to give £4 million every year. When you participate in our events and fundraising activities, you are helping to ensure that we continue to give outstanding care to those who need it most. Thank you for supporting Heart of Kent Hospice.

Every two years Provender Nurseries partners with a local charity and this year they have chosen to support Heart of Kent Hospice. Donations will be raised through the sale of food and refreshments at events, collection boxes at the till, and gifts in kind including donations to the hospice's gardens and outdoor spaces as well as use of the Provender Nurseries meeting rooms. Richard Burt, Sales Director says, ‘We value the opportunity to be involved with such a worthwhile organisation. As a charity, Heart of Kent Hospice do not charge for their services and every penny raised is valuable to the care they provide.’ David Dadswell, Corporate Partnerships Manager of Heart of Kent Hospice says, ‘I am thrilled to welcome Provender Nurseries as a new corporate supporter the hospice and am always grateful when businesses choose the hospice to partner with over a long period of time. The business sector plays a vital role in supporting the work we do and will have a great impact in the local community. I look forward to collaborating with them and exploring ways in which the hospice can support the team at Provender Nurseries.’ Thank you to Provender Nurseries for their generous support. 👟 The #LondonMarathon takes place on 27 April. We’re proud to be represented by Tom Wallis who is running in memory of his Nan, who was cared for by Heart of Kent Hospice. 💬 Tom said: “When I found out they offered charity places, I instantly thought back to Heart of Kent Hospice and how they helped my Nan and Grandad in such a difficult time. Running the marathon isn’t just about personal achievement—it’s about giving back to a charity that did so much for my family and for so many others.” 👏 Let’s show Tom some love and cheer him on with his challenge #running #runners #heartofkenthospice #hospice #fundraising #charity
