🚢 March was Massive at the Port of Felixstowe! 🌊 In one month alone, we proudly welcomed 30 MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company vessels to the port – a true testament to the strength of our operations and partnerships. 💪 🌟 Among these were 5+ maiden calls, including the stunning MSC Rose and MSC Stacey, making their very first appearances at Felixstowe! ⚓️ 2 deep draught vessels also made their mark, showcasing our capability to handle some of the world’s largest ships. 📊 Total combined gross tonnage? 3,389,614! During the visit, we gave them a first-hand experience of our operations including meeting our VTS and Pilot Launch teams during a harbour tour. 🌊 As a trust port that operates for the benefit of its stakeholders, not shareholders, these engagements help to: ✅ Showcase our capabilities – from our skilled marine teams to our world-class safety and navigation services. ✅ Strengthen industry collaboration – ensuring alignment on the future of UK ports and maritime innovation. ✅ Provide real-world insights – allowing policymakers and industry leaders to experience the critical role ports play in the economy and local communities. 🛳️ First call of the MSC Rose on the Britannia service to Port of Felixstowe🛳️ The MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company's MSC Rose arrived safely last night into the Port of Felixstowe under the expert pilotage of our Senior Pilot, Simon Browne AFNI, and our diligent operational teams. Here's her stats: 🔹 Draft - 15.9m 🔹 LOA - 364m 🔹 Last port - Colombo 🔹 Next port - Antwerp 🎉 Simon was delighted to reconnect with the captain on board who has visited the port before, but this time presenting him with a commemorative plaque. ⚓ We were delighted to welcome HMS Cattistock (M31), which joined us in the Haven today. 🔎 The vessel is a minehunter and is designed to use innovative technology and carefully honed skills of the crew to clear the oceans of hidden dangers. 🤝 Our Harbour Master, William Barker, welcomed the commanding officer and crew of HMS Cattistock to Harwich Haven.
